It is one of my favorite coffee shops in Coquitlam centre area. Very good coffee and pastries here. Like their sweet potato and strawberry cakes recent visit that fruit cake replaced the strawberry cake, don't konw if this is temporary or permanent. Danishs and croissant are also very good. My son loves their cranberry sandwich rolls. The only down side is because it is located in the mall, many times we parked the car and came in and it was full. Then we had to get into our car and move to another place. Service is good but could be slow when there are many customers.
Went near closing time and ordered a green tea fog. Price point is fair and the drink was made quickly. The use of a tropical green tea was a bit surprising, but it was alright. Probably would have preferred a standard green tea instead. There is quite a bit of seating and the tables seem to be separated to accommodate for physical distancing. The decor and color scheme of the cafe is simple and muted, making it an easy choice to sit and have a cup of coffee or meet with a friend. The cafe also has a selection of baked goods. Will be coming back to try those in the future.
Hidden gem in metro Vancouver! One of the best coffee shops I've been in metro Vancouver. Their iced matcha latte is my favorite matcha drink I've have in a while. The chocolate almond danish the one in a separate plate in the pic is me and my wife's favourite pastry! If you want something quick for breakfast, their pizza croissant is delicious and personal favorite. We live near Metrotown but we'll be coming to Coquitlam just for this bakery. A must visit if you're near the area.
A hidden little gem! A quaint little cafe / pastry shop. Their croissants plain, cheese and almond are huge, light and flaky. Especially the almond croissant is delicious. Their cakes strawberry shortcake, sweet potato mousse cake and red velvet cheesecake are beautiful and made with good ingredients. You can taste it’s made with care. Their cold caramel latte is great with nice coffee taste and level of sweetness is just right.
Tried their coffee in person a few weeks ago and it was great! I remembered they had some nice looking desserts so when our friend was in town we decided to order some. Unfortunately, both the croissant and danish were over baked and tasted burnt. The macadamia cookies were so hard I could not even bite through them without worrying about my teeth...very disappointed with the baked goods. The strawberry cake was nice at least but the rest we could not eat.
Nice cozy cafe located inside Henderson Mall. The desserts and pastries were nice, and fairly priced.
This coffee shop is located at the corner on the first floor of Henderson Mall 1 min away from the Coquitlam Public Library. It is a small coffee shop at the corner of the building but has quite a cozy atmosphere. I would go here to freshen up after studying at the library and continue to work. They offer various selections for coffee and dessert items. The coffee was more to the bitter taste than acidic. So, I can't say I will give 5 out of 5, but I would definitely go this place again to grab a coffee and to catch up with my work in a relaxing environment. Parking: Customers can park in the Henderson Mall parking lot. 30mins, 1hour limit spots on P1, 3 hours on P2 and P3. Keep your receipt as parking patrol does monitor this area, not often but they do come around.
Love this cafe! The coffee tastes really good. My husband had a sip of left-over coffee of mine, and asked me where I got it. They make fresh baked goods at the cafe, I had almond breaddon’t remember the exact name and it was good. Planning to try different bread in the future. Highly recommend the place :D
I was pleasantly surprised by café Dorothy, I didn't know what to expect and came in with zero expectations, after someone suggested it to me. Their pastries all looked fabulous and there was quite an array, something for everyone but their strawberry shortcake is what caught my eye! It was packed in a cute to go box with a handle, take out convenience at its finest. The cake was an even amount of chantilly cream, fresh strawberries and vanilla sponge cake, not too sweet either, perfect and refreshing! Their savoury menu is quite small, they had 4 sandwiches to choose from in their display case, when I arrived. I chose the ham and cheese. I was a little apprehensive with how much romaine there was on that sandwich and definitely confused why they gave me a side of relish with it but I decided to eat it as served. Oh man, I will be back for that sandwich!! The lettuce turned out to be the perfect amount to add a fresh element to the croissant sandwich, between the cheese, ham and buttery croissant, it needed that addition and the relish was an added cut through the otherwise richness of the ingredients. Today I learnt that I don't mind relish on ham and cheese sandwiches. Their coffee menu hosted some classics and some unique to their location, they also have house made 'ades like lemonades and I'll have to come back to try that, they looked delicious. I tried their iced toffee nut latte and really enjoyed it, the coffee wasn't bitter, it was very smooth and it wasn't too sweet, which was perfect because I always worry about that when syrups get involved. There is more on this menu that I need to try, I'll definitely be back!!
I have been ordering to go from this café for a while and really enjoy the cute pastries and drinks. I'm not quite sure when they made the change but every time I get a hot drink now, the lid never sits on the cup properly and ends up spilling from the bottom of the lid. No matter how much I push it down to fasten, it still leaks from the bottom of the lid. Please get this fixed so that I don't waste my time and money buying a nice drink but end up getting it spilled all over the place because the lid does not fit the cup properly. I feel bad for the employee's that put there hard work into making a nice coffee for me. Please change the takeout cups or supplier, thank you.
