Now named Route 35. Had the local "645" burger; handmade patty, soft bun, juicy but not pink. This is the best burger in Muskoka. I'm a local and work in the trades so I've eaten quite a few. Trust this review - go visit and leave happy and full.

Very disappointing. It has gone from a lovely well priced dining room to a poor service roadhouse in 12 months. I took a group of 25 in for dinner based on being there a year ago. I was forced to apologize to everyone.

I ate at this establishment in October and was very happy not only with the service but the food was delicious. I was recently visiting Algonquin Park with a group of 30 people and decided that this is where we would have our communal dinner on Saturday night. We arrived to find that they were offering a winter menu even though they still have the full menu on their website. One of our party members has an extreme gluten allergy and she called two weeks ago to make sure that they would have something on the menu that she was able to eat. They assured her that the steak she was asking about would be available. Of course they changed the menu and she had to leave and go eat elsewhere because there was nothing else available to her. This was mainly because the waitress told her that they could not assure her which items on the menu contains gluten. When I inquired as to why the website has not been updated the answer I received was that they were short-staffed at the moment. That doesn't make much sense. We had to send several drinks back do too filthy glasses. I believe the waitress that was assigned to half of our party was new and was very nervous. I don't think that was fair to her. Our food was mediocre at best. Half of our party was finished eating before the other half even got their meals. Apparently there was no one in charge that I could speak to about all of these complaints so I am sharing them here. As much as I loved this place a few months ago, I would not recommend it in the winter or for large groups. If they were short-staffed and couldn't handle us they should have let us know that well in advance. I spoke with someone just the day before to confirm our numbers and was not given any indication at all that they would have any problem accommodating us. I was also assured again at that time that there would be gluten-free options.

Food was great. If you like peameal, I highly recommend their peameal sandwich. The only cons about this place was the smell of the exhaust from all the snowmobiles made its way inside and was quite strong, and the dishes weren't exactly clean.

This is one of the few restaurants open during the winter time. Very authentic atmosphere with generous portions. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive as well. As for the food, we tried the ribs, wings, and sweet potato fries which were quite all right.
