Buffalo Niagara International Airport

I’ve flown in and out of this airport a couple times and I’ve never had any issues. Once we were delayed due to the cold weather but that’s to be expected in buffalo in January and we were on our way fairly quickly. The first time I ever flew I was 16 and I was going to Florida by myself but because I was nervous and it was my first time the security guards were kind enough to allow my uncle to sit by the gate with me until I boarded to make me more comfortable. Just another way buffalo lives up to its nickname “The City of Good Neighbors”. Friendly, fast, and efficient service. Overall a great place to fly in and out of.

As far as airports go, Buffalo’s is pretty great. It’s got a decent number of gates, but it’s not so large that you have to race across the airport. Security usually moves pretty quick with a minimal line/wait. The check in counters are usually pretty quick as well, though at peak travel times it would still be smart to get there early. The baggage claim area is functional if a bit slow, and it would be nice if the rentals were in the main building. The drop off and pick up areas are covered. The parking is the only downside, with a rather large and sprawling parking lot and cars that often get buried in the snow. Only the “daily parking” is in a parking garage, and that’s quite expensive. The preferred, long term and budget parking lots are a bit of a walk to the terminal.

I love this airport. If you can take your flight out of here instead of Pearson, do it. Small, spacious and easy access. Parking is $72 US for a whole week, and that's preferred. If you're willing to be further away, it's cheaper. My favorite airport.

The worst place to travel to and from. The workers are horrible with directions! They are very rude as well. All their rules are meaningless, don't know why you can't bring shampoo and conditioner on the plane it's a bit ridiculous! In order to take my stuff I have to pay more money to take my stuff with me.They are just trying to scam people to get more money. They are the biggest rip off will never ever fly through them again. #horrible service
