This place is just amazing! I would love to visit here again! The way you connect with nature is just amazing and the peace that you feel is like no others! The falls are just amazing and breathtaking! It took us a long time to get there (Bronx-Niagara) but the travel time was worth it! I would recommend to get a hotel close by because they have a fireworks show late at night. After going there we stopped by Watkins Glen state park...Amazing!

One of the most memorable experiences is to visit the Niagara falls and be encapsulated by this wonderful water beauty! I visited the Niagara falls during night time and witnessed fireworks at 9pm. The schedule of the fireworks is listed on their online website. I took the 'Maid of the Mist' ride. This ride is a must take while you are at Niagara. I could view the American Falls, and the Niagara Falls from a very close distance during my ride. The tickets are affordable and it's worth every penny!! Try to stay back at a hotel nearby, and visit the falls at both night, and day time. If you are travelling to the falls from United States, I would recommend keeping a watch at your navigation, since it's very easy to take a pass at the Rainbow Bridge which will drive you straight into Canada. All in one! I had a great memory to watch the fireworks over Niagara, and the 'Maid of the Mist' ride is etched in my mind as one of my best life experiences! Travel safe! :)

If you go in February you'll have the entire place to yourself. They are doing a lot of work to the goat island section, which looked great. The rest of the park was clean and well kept. Definitely check out the observation deck. Very nice views, some vertigo inducing directly down at the river below. Also - find Tesla and sit in his lap.

The state park has decently expensive parking. I'd suggest parking in the Casino parking garage or at the Aquarium (both are free). Unfortunately, the area surrounding the state park is rather tourist-trap-y. I'd recommend taking a passport with you and hiking over to the Canadian side. It's MUCH better (in my opinion). If you aren't planning on staying in Canada very long, definitely don't take a car over. It's much easier to walk.

It was pretty cool but the observation tower was closed. Nice views of the falls. Plenty of Asian tourists. The squirrels were very friendly and offered valuable information with regard to directions all while answering the phone and doing paperwork. All and all they do an awful lot of work and deserve better pay however there are signs everywhere telling you not to feed them. That's government for you.
