Budget Inn

we stayed at this hotel and we had nice and clean room. our room was newly redone was bigger that expected. Manager was very helpful, we had our car brokedown and help us to guide us to call around for mechanics. we had 2 kids were with us and they also liked it..its safe and affordable location..we stayed 5 days for baseball games in cooperstown where we couldnot afford to paying another hotels 3 times We are not sure about past reviews here but we didnot see any negative. trust me, i would have found in 5 days if any issue with hotel as we spoke to another 3 family who were staying were also happy with their room and service. its very convenient to walk to coffee shops,breakfast, 3 restaurants.. another 5 miles 5 restaurants nearby.. we definately coming back when we visit again.

The experience that I and my family had for my sisters family day was horrible...the pictures that they may pull up is not what it is... uncomfortable beds dirty towels...tvOS are not the tv u may see...there is no heat which you may need staying in the mountains...the customer experience is horrible...bedding it dirty and the showers are not clean what so ever....if u want or may need to stay at the motel beware cuz u may need to go to Walmart to purchase some clean supplies to stay comfortable...will not want any one to attend the motel and I mean that

I would not go back. For one, the guy running it could not send me a confirmation email. I called several times & eather he could not figure out how to send an email or he just didn't feel like it. Second, they are still using a knuckle buster to run a credit card. I don't think he has ever had anything else. Third, there was supposed to have been wifi. I could not get my computer to hook up. Asked the guy at the front counter the password, & had to go back to get a look that told me to go away & not bother him again. Fourth, the door was hard to unlock. Looks like they were there for many drunk patrons or after several break ins.Fifth, the beds were just softer than the floor. I looked under the mattress & there was plywood in between that & the box spring. All that for the price that they were charging was outrageous. Save yourself the same fate I had to go throught. Find another place to crash for the night.

Beware of the scamming owner who lives above the office. Don't answer his questions as he is trying to figure out how much you can afford before he names price. If you just need cheap place to sleep, use cash and name your price, he'll take it if he thinks you might leave. Way overpriced for seedy rooms. Mattresses were like cardboard, stuff like microwave and tiny fridge that should be included are $15 each per night. Bathrooms are too small to turn around in and some have red lights, make you wonder if you're staying in a brothel.

We booked a double non-smoking room. When we arrived the manager told us that he did not have one available. The double room was a smoking room but he offered a queen bedded non-smoking room at an extra charge. He told us to pay the extra for a decent night's sleep rather than sleep in a room that reaked of smoke. He made no attempt to provide what we had booked in advance. We believe that this is a scam and that he shows the smelly room and offers a clean room at an extra charge as a matter of course. We have a good looking car and arrived well dressed. He could not believe that we expected him to honor his agreement. When we protested that we expected his Inn to provide what it promised he offered us the Queen bedded room for $10.00 extra saying he would meet us half-way. He never even suggested that he would keep his promise to provide us with a smoke-free room. May I add that the platform outside the rooms have little tables that are covered with dirty ashtrays? And that, although the contract said that checkout time was at 11:00 a.m. he insisted that it was in fact 10:00 a.m. Although the advertisement claims that there are donuts and other things for breakfast, there are really just some sort of coated cereals with a jar of instant coffee that guests can make if they wish to stand around and drink it. Avoid this man's establishment. He is not an honorable businessman.
