Budget Inn

This place is HORRIBLE!. they took advantage of a big wedding being in town and 4 hotels we called were booked out. We were driving threw the town and was only option. Honestly we should have splet in our car. The location above is NOT correct. They charged us $90 . smells, shower is disgusting as well as beds. Out dated.

These are very bad people who have misleading business practices. Sharon Springs is 23 miles from Cooperstown. I was traveling via a bicycle and they would not refund my $81 for a room I never saw. Yahoo! MSN and Google all show it to be close to Cooperstown. They "bent" there address (see Chestnut St) to get a good listing for the distance. These are evil people and please do not support their evil ways.

We had a terrible experience with this hotel. We booked two rooms for two nights. We went there, got our room keys, were disgusted with the rooms and told the clerk that we could not stay there (5 minutes after we got the keys). The rooms were moldy and absolutely awful. The carpets were rippling from the moisture. We were then charged by the hotel for 2 rooms 2 nights. We contested the charge and the hotel gave us back 1 night, 2 rooms. We are still arguing about $256.56. The hotel outright lied to our credit card company stating that we stayed in the rooms one night and that we told the manager that the rooms were satisfactory. The clerk would not give us any receipt of cancellation until his "boss" came in three days later. If we had this receipt, we could have our money back. BEWARE, these people do not behave an ethical business manner. I would advise staying anywhere but HERE! If I could, I would give this place 0 stars!
