Budget Car & Truck Rental

Needed to rent a truck with for a month due to hitting a deer. Showed up and they had a 3/4ton pipeline truck for me instead of a 1/2 ton. Price changed to $75/day when they found out it was insurance claim instead of $45. Magically changed back to $45 when I tried to return it and rent from enterprise. Dropped off no problem, given receipt showing zero owing as insurance authorized to pay them directly. Day later they billed my credit card $340, no phone call, no receipt. Refused to refund me and told me to get a refund from my insurance company (the one that already prepaid them directly for 2/3 of the bill). Lesson learned. Try a different rental company. Update: The store manager conceded they made a mistake and refunded the amount they double charged to me. So, sorted out in the end but took an hour of phone calls and the insurance company demanding they refund me as they were already paid for it by them.

It was a bad manager and bad co worker We were supposed to receive Car today at 9:00am the store was closed it opened at 10:00 am and the manager said he will give as $10 for the second trip 😡😡 because of that mistake I will say keep it for your self and your stuff and learn how you treat people when you do mistakes

Bad customer service! I will avoid this place in the future! I booked online an intermediate SUV for 2 weeks (Ford Escape, Nissan Rogue, etc.) But on the pick-up day was presented with a subcompact Fiat 500x (basically a mini-cooper on bigger tires).. when the rep saw that I obviously don't want it he promised to work with operations the next day to get me a Nissan Rogue so I delayed my trip to Calgary based on his promise, took the car and parked it home (7km away). Next day 11am nobody called me so I called them and was surprised to hear they have no replacement! (not only he didn't fulfill his promise but he also slept on it hoping it would go away). I said well then I don't want it. I returned the car (another 7km) and he was like: the gas tank is not full you need to top it up. So I drove for 5 min filled it with $5 and brought back. Then he said it's gonna be a 1 day charge of $76. I said but on the website it's $48 a day, he replied he's not sure about website rates but this car is for $76! Let alone I never used the car, I took it because he promised to exchange it the next day (then he never called), I delayed my trip and waisted several hours of my life with a very bad experience, and to top it up they charged me double! What an experience! PS: the next day I got an invoice of $48 so not sure whether the guy changed his mind to avoid trouble (I asked for his manager's contact) or simply he was ignorant, both cases bad customer service!
