Budget Car & Truck Rental

Very friendly employees who worked hard to get me my car quickly. It was a brand new car with less than 1,000 km on it. I found a super cheap deal online and it worked out great but the limited weekend hours made it a bit worrisome because if I were late I'd be charged $50 for an extra day. Also if you don't return the car full of gas there's a charge of $3.80 per litre!! Just be aware of the rules and as long as it works you should be fine but the extra charges can make a good deal much less so.

I have been a regular customer at this location. My experience overall has not been very good. Mostly, I have been receiving cars that have some problems either break issues or not very clean. The last time, I rented from Budget, it was for a day and they charged me for gas because it was one bar down. However, I took the car as it was, one bar done and I didn't notice until I actually drove away from the location. As per the agreement, I went to the gas station to fill the tank but after 4 litres I couldn't pump more (I have it on my credit card balance) because it was full and it actually was over loaded, but when I looked at the bar, it was still one down. I assume there was something wrong with the car monitoring the gas bar. I understand that it might raise the question how come I used so little on gas but because I only rented the car to go to the grocery store as I live downtown and don't have a car. I explained the situation to the person when I dropped off the car but I guess he ignored me and went ahead and still charged me for gas. This is very disappointing. Budget perhaps considers itself as professional rental company but this is beyond professionalism. The only reason I go there because it is the closest to me, proximity wise; otherwise it does not worth the trouble.

Horrible experience with this place. First they said if I call them in the morning they will send a shuttle to pick me up and take to the office. I tried calling them from 7:30 - 8:00 nobody would pick up. Finally got through at 8:02 and the guy on the phone was pretty rude. He was like I'm the only one here and I'm new at this job, can't do anything for you, you will have to find your way here yourself. Anyway, I get to work late that they cause of this and I have to spend money on the cab from my pocket. When I get there I tell the guy I have two reservations that I would like to combine. One is after the other. He said just come in and I will give you the same car. I called later in the week twice and was told the same. They couldn't just do it on the phone, and I would have to go in person and that they would give me the same vehicle. So I go on Monday morning, he prepares all the documents and I sign .. then he realizes he can't give me the same vehicle. Why? Not really sure ... Now I have to pick this car up and go fill up the tank in downtown in the middle of rush hour, cause they will charge me an outrageous amount of money for it. Why did I not fill up the tank? Cause they said three times they will give me the same vehicle. Finally he gives me this vehicle that is HORRIBLE. Slides at 20KM/H. Crappy all reason tires on them in this weather. NEVER EVER rent from them. It was a horrible experience. I was late to work again today for 2 hours. Also to update this review, as I was in a rush, I left my apartment's parking pass behind in the vehicle hanging off of the mirror, when I called budget to get it back they told me they had rented the vehicle to ANOTHER CUSTOMER, and that they didn't see anything ... and just like that my parking pass was gone and never found, which cost me another $50. I also called this number provided as a reply by owner. They were of no use. just took note of what I said and I never heard back from them.

Very sweet and perfect service from Vanessa. And her Co worker. They accomodated all of my needs and even argued with my insurance company to make sure I was 100% taken care of. I would definitely recommend to see these people. They're humans not robots here.
