The Mahamevnawa Bhavana Asapuwa of Toronto is the first ever overseas branch of the Mahamevnawa. The meritorious project to build the Sri Gautama Buddha Meditation Hall is a key milestone in our journey. This new building will always be used as a place where the Supreme Buddha will be worshipped and the sacred relics of the Supreme Buddha will be honoured as well. It will also be used as a sacred place where Venerable Bhanthes and lay devotees learn the Dhamma, practise meditation and engage in many meritorious activities.
With the completion of the new Meditation Hall, the current building will be designated exclusively as a resident dwelling for our venerable Bhanthes. This will enable them to comfortably follow the path, while continuing to stay in Canada to teach the precious Dhamma to all of us.
