Story

Located in Markham, Ontario, Cornerstone is a Jesus-centred intercultural church with a big heart for the local community and the world.

Launched in 1998, Cornerstone operated out of rented facilities for almost 18 years. Then, in September 2015, the construction of Cornerstone Centre was completed -- a dual purpose facility that would be both the home base for the church as well as a community centre for all to enjoy -- regardless of membership or faith affiliation.

We are open 7 days per week with programs for all ages. We "make space" for Jesus to shape us wholistically -- spiritually, physically, emotionally, relationally.

Our largest gathering is on Sunday mornings at 11 am for an upbeat time of honest and life-changing worship with average attendance of about 500+

I went here for rhe Christmas party this hear and donated to the food drives. The little markets were so cool and all the other acticities were too. Definitely recomend!
They helped me with food which I found hard to accept as I am a proud man I'm disabled now was a chef but get cpp disability which is 787 a month rent is 584 a month
One of the most generous communities I've ever been a part of ever I've moved a lot and went to too many churches in my life time. Also, phenomenal leadership, services and innovation. For those who question their authenticity and services, I suggest taking reasonable time getting to know the community and leaders, especially since they're growing so rapidly which has many challenges concerning "quality service", before judging or coming to conclusions. No church or community is perfect but this one has been one of the most distinguished, diverse, energetic and welcoming communities I've been a part of. All I can say is *thank you!*
I love this place. We go here to play multi sports and volleyball on different days. We meet other people and enjoy the time. Spacious and also friendly staff. They also rent a space. Just check the website for more information.
13 years ago, the my family made the decision to serve and raise our children in a church that had similar spiritual goals as we did. With our year old daughter in tow, we attended our first Cornerstone Christian Community Church service at Markville Secondary HS at that time. To our pleasant surprise, we discovered Cornerstone to be a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented church. It was also already acting upon its community building vision as well raising pledges and fundraising! We found our new church home and excitingly joined in on the "bridge-building, community-serving, and God-sized vision" of purchasing land to build a community centre style facility for public and ministry use! After 2 yrs now and counting, we're still excitedly enjoying worship service and all the other amazing programs going on in the Cornerstone Centre 7 days a week :- Thank you God for our wonderful journey and looking forward to my family of 6 continuing to grow spiritually with the Cornerstone Family as we lovingly serve the community as Jesus did! Come out and experience either one of 2 Cornerstone worship services each Sunday @ 9:30a or 11:30a or any one of the various programs offered any day of the week!
Convenient location for child's basketball drop in and house league. It is very nicely maintained and has a great layout. Coaches are amazing and very approachable.
I go here as a young person, and I really enjoy the family that the church is. I have great people to be around, including little kids and great mentors/role models like Mrs. Kerri McIntosh and Pastor Kevin!!
