A vibrant congregation filled with Apostolic love and fellowship!!
I came visiting this church because I wanted to experience the elements of a traditional Lutheran worship – i.e. instead of using drums and guitars, worshiping God by singing hymns, reading scriptures, listening to a sermon, proclaiming the Apostles’ Creed, saying the Lord’s prayer, sharing the ‘Meal’ together and ending the worship service with a sending hymn. These dignified elements helped draw me closer to the presence of the Divine and help stir my internal passionate quest for Him. When I arrived as a newcomer, people immediately took notice of me. Rev. Roy Thakurdyal and his wife Alice were very friendly and courteous. People greeted cheerfully with one another and they insisted that I joined the refreshment in the basement after the worship. While I was in the basement, I noticed that everyone seemed to know one another. And they all shared the same loving and caring spirit!!
For those who are not used to the formality of a traditional Lutheran worship, you are very welcome to join their first contemporary service in May 5, 2013.
