Buck's American Cafe
"Buck's American Cafe has been operating in the historic Swalwell building in Riverside Square since 1986. Built in the 1880’s the site was originally the home of one of the area’s first banks. Through the years it housed a variety of businesses including a haberdashery, and as rumor has it a speakeasy. The original Pines Tavern was located here and operated from the early 1940’s until the mid 1980’s. Remodeling for Buck’s was done with an eye to the future and respect for the past. Much of the building is original and upgrading was done to compliment the style of the era.Our goal at Buck’s American Cafe is simple. We strive to offer our customers great food in Everett and friendly, prompt service at affordable prices."

The ladies from Texas had a wonderful dining experience. Anna served us well. I finally got that praline pie. The soup was great & Katie loved her Rueben. Linda raved about the pie. Friendly atmosphere & walking distance from the Hotel. Thanks
Great food at a great price. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and funny. The food was delicious. This is one of those places that should be on the list of best cafes in Washington.
The food was phenomenal!! Staff was very attentive and nice, food was fast, and delicious, the chicken parm was to die for! My son loved their homemade chicken with fries and the kitchen staff even went out of their way to make him a homemade sauce. Highly recommend this restaurant, will be a returning customer.
Hannah our server was simply lovely! The ambiance at this 35 year old establishment is wonderful. There are several craft beers on draft to choose from and the wine selection includes Rombauer and Kings Estate to mention a few. We dined on a Friday eve, so were able to dine on a delicious prime rib special. My co diner enjoyed a crisp, flavorful ceaser salad to start and then chose the top sirloin and a baked potato. Both entrees were served with some al dente vegetables which were wonderful. They had a couple of dinner specials as well....a nut crusted salmon I believe and sadly, I cannot recall the second. The menu had several delicious offerings and the dining environment is cozy with several seats at the bar. I enjoyed a Diamond Knot IPA and then HAD to try their Cranberry- Orange margarita. Both wet my whistle and were tasty! Service was hospitable and unitrusive and helpful. This venue was a short drive from Paine field, and an easy drive back to our hotel near the Alderwood Mall. I ordered a piece of their New Orleans pecan pie and thoroughly enjoyed it in the comfort of our room. It was absolutely delicious! We would definately return to this wonderful establishment.
My wife and I entertained a friend at Buck's yesterday for lunch. Service was good. Greeted and seated immediately. We all ordered fish & chips. Very tasty but I noticed the pieces of fish were small. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder & it was thin and no potatoes. One of my favorite places. Some small changes brought on with new owners.
Came here for a quick bite to eat. We ordered Halibut fish n chips, and the basic burger forgot the name along with a double Moscow mule with fresh lime which my wife enjoyed and a delicious pale ale from George Town which almost always has great beer. The food was good but came close to a 4 star due to the lack of seasoning. The Halibut was cooked nicely and tasted great but it could has used some seasoning in the breading, just lightly. I felt the same way about the burger, good but could use a little something. The fries were cooked to perfection, crispy and delicious, don't change anything maybe more on the plate but that's just because being greedy. I love homemade sauce and honey mustard was well made, the tartar was decent. Overall, decent food and the service was friendly and attentive. I would come back for the fries for sure. The price range is a bit up there for a few other menu items but not enough to keep me from coming back if I'm in the area. Sorry no pictures, we were pretty hungry.
We took friends from out of town here and had a great dinner and drinks. The service was awesome and made it a great time. We had the crab cakes and recommended them! The fish was perfectly cooked and the steak had great flavor was nice. As we were leaving the owners wife came over and thanked us for coming in , nice touch
I’ve dined at Buck’s twice and both times have been an excellent experience. Ordered ribeye medium and it was cooked perfectly with a nice char. The sides were delicious. Clean plate club! The service was outstanding. Both visits had the same delightful waitress. Loved the ambience and vibe of this place!
Fantastic food. I had an oyster shooter that was top notch, some steamed clams that were perfect, and a green curry mussels dish that was absolutely amazing. It’s also a veteran owned business, and the staff was really friendly and professional. 10/10.
This place was painfully average, as I felt it would be. Took quite awhile for us to get our drinks, we didnt get any waters. My risotto was fine. Very rich, the scallops were cooked lovely, but tasted like they had come from frozen. The chicken parmesean was also fine. The peanut butter pie lacked no quantity of peanuts, but if you were hoping for a better chocolate to peanut butter ratio, you will be sorely disappointed. The atmosphere was fine, definitely a bit on the lower end. Service was a bit slow until the very end, but was okay besides that.
