This place has some of the best wings, fries and homemade blue cheese dip in the city. Prices did not skyrocket like other places in the last year. Great specials, good selection of beer, friendly staff and unpretentious unlike some spots in The Junction insert jab at The Alpine here. This is a regular go to spot for me. Love you guys!
I may be biased as I spend some regular time here. Excellent rotation of Ontario craft beers on tap and packaged cans/bottles, the menu is delicious and outside of one dish no longer on the menu, every item is drool-worthy! New menu was launched in March 2023 and the Scotch Eggs are heaven, plus some foodie worthy daily specials! Go for the nachos and wings, stay for the beer and neighbourhood vibes.
One review that caught my eye and actually made me decide on going and checking out this local small cozy pub reads "like having beer in your grandma's in a good way" and this was so spot on from the minute you walk in ! We ended up there on wing night which as a pescatarian really didn't do much for me however it looked like it had brought a good crowd which had made the place packed .... And following the grandma comment I would say Bryden is a place to be enjoyed more on its down time at lesser decibels. Will be going back to surprise my wife for romantic night as she loves authentic local unique or as one friend described it best "the hole in the wall" places
Jesse was SO helpful, friendly and warm. He gave great local recommendations and kept our drinks topped up and our conversations flowing. We had a wonderful dinner at this quaint little restaurant before kayaking, and can't wait to come back! Thanks, Jesse!
Spacious restaurant and bar. The food is good and they serve big portions with reasonable prices. Customer service is awesome and location is 3 minutes walking distance from Jane station.
Ordered adult cheeseburger and fries. And child menu cheeseburger fries Different toppings on each. Thought adult patty was small because it was an airport restaurant. Nearing end of meal noticed child burger, half eaten was much larger, thicker. Asked server and instead of saying honest mistake which is fine, would rather child enjoy their meal, they said there's no difference in meal other than adult meal has more fries for a $12 price differene Edit.. you are correct. Wrong establishment. **Updated: this establishment was awesome - great draft beers, great environment, great wings! Definitely going back!!!******
Jesse, outrageous is a very difficult persona to pull off. Try not to be too unkind with your flamboyant barbs. Some sobriety and professionalism would be in order.
We loved the place, it is cozy, warm and really confortable, the furniture took us many years ago, the service is excellent and the food incredible. The nachos and the burger were delicious, and the red leaf beer is a perfect option.
Great local place for food and drinks with friends or family. Wings and/or Nachoes are great, variety of beer selection that are fresh.
Absolute fantastic Bloor West Village neighbourhood bar that offers you a jovial atmosphere and the staff are a delighted to serve you food, alcohol, or a friendly smile. I came here for a friend's birthday where he is not just a regular but seemed like a beloved regular. They even came out with a little birthday dessert and song at the height of the evening. It was very sweet and thoughtful. The staff here are really friendly and service is super duper quick. The atmosphere is just exactly what you would expect it to be. Music blasting over the speakers, mix of seating between bar, tables, and couches, a golden tee machine in the back when you have a score to settle, a chalkboard with the latest available suds to wet your whistle, and a friendly face to welcome you. Drink selection is pretty good here. I got to try this Nickelbrook barrel-aged plum sour that was just a lip-smacking delight. I didn't get a chance to try the food but someone at my table did order one of their off-menu specials of the day and it looked delicious. It was a grilled or stuffed quarter chicken leg on a bed of really flavourful creamy barley and topped with green beans. I'm secretly impressed that this came from a pub kitchen. Shout-out to Shannon who not only made sure we never had an empty beer glass in front of us for long and willing to join in on the friendly ribbing of a Yelp Elite at the table. It was a hoot! :-D
