Went here to check it out for the first time. Very quaint place with a nice interior, friendly server, and very tasty food. The wild mushroom soup was very tasty, a lot of layers of flavour when drinking the soup. Texture with the bite of the mushrooms and the creaminess of the soup itself was great. The main course was very good as well. The duck could’ve been more tender but in all a solid entree. Overall a 4 star restaurant:
The food overall was quite enjoyable. Didn't like the lobster bisque, but kids like their pizza, I really liked the black cod, and the appies we tried were all quite good. Do try the asparagus and prosciutto salad! Desserts were good too Nice place to come for a quiet meal with your friends or family.Food: 4/5
The pulled duck leg spaghetti was pretty good. The duck could have been juicier but it was nice, hot, creamy, and fresh. The roasted yam salad however was very cold, like from the refrigerator kinda cold. I was told it's supposed to be cold but I feel like a better highlight of roasted yam and roasted cauliflower is to serve it warm, fresh from the oven, because then you can enjoy the crisp outside and soft inside opposed to a wet and more rubbery consistency when cold and refrigerated. It said it had asparagus but I didn't find any asparagus in my salad. The roasted yam salad was edible but not enjoyable. Overall, an interesting menu and decent eat.
Delicious Italian in the middle of Richmond. Duck pasta and mushroom ravioli were so good. No kids menu yet? but they were great to accommodate the kid with his plain spaghetti. They also let him order a margharita pizza at dinner as he wasn’t feeling the plain spaghetti tonight. It’s like really nice Italian with a hint of Asian fusion. Totally hits the spot. Hope they can develop a couple more dessert options. In any case we have decided we are going to keep coming back and eat through the menu as our first three choices were 5-star uhhhh-mazing!! It was THAT good! Prices seem a bit high for a neighborhood plaza vs downtown Vancouver dining but it was still worth it and have a quality meal without having to go downtown and wear your Covid casual best!
Ordered the chili prawns, mushroom soup, prosciutto pizza, duck pasta, steak, black cod and tiramisu cheesecake. The pizzas are normally on the lunch menu only, but they had let us order it during dinner and it was my favorite. Would order all the dishes again, and looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
Had lunch here for the first time and everything was delicious! We ordered the bolognese pasta, pulled duck leg and seafood pasta as well as the prosciutto pizza and sable fish from dinner menu but they made it for us. The pastas were all al dente and full of sauce but my favorite was hands down the pizza! The saltiness of prosciutto worked well with the hint of truffle flavor and the crust was just the perfect amount of crispy and chewy. The sable fish was pan fried to perfection and the broth complimented well with the flaky fish. They also let us try their chili sauce which was very yummy and perfect in the pasta and pizza.
Had a great experience with the service and food overall! The pasta and pizza not only taste delicious but incredibly fresh and healthy as well! My favourite dishes are the mushroom soup, prosciutto pizza and primavera pasta. The quality put into each dish brings great enjoyment.
Partner and I were thoroughly impressed and satisfied by the three dishes we got. We ordered the seafood pasta scallops/shrimp wonderfully cooked, lobster sauce was flavour-packed. We scraped the bowl clean, prosciutto pizza a sweet/savoury/rich combo with truffle flavour, and duck confit duck was fork tender that starts off mild but ends strong and bold as you eat. Their pizza dough is pillowy with a soft chew. It’s the usual thick/bread dough as opposed to thin crust. The saffron rice with duck confit could’ve been fluffier but overall, a pleasant experience! Excited to go back to try something else!
Went here for lunch since I was in the area and didn’t realize they’ve soft opened as of this post. Primarily west coast cuisine here. Lunch and dinner menus have slightly different offerings lunch has pizzas, dinner has more meats/seafood options they also have a drinks menu, but didn’t take a picture of that oops. Also if you need it, they have a Chinese version of their menu. Had mushroom soup and the duck confit main. Both were very flavourful and well seasoned! I appreciate the mushroom soup actually has whole bits of mushroom in it and not just blended like a lot of other places do it. Service was also very nice. Waitress was very attentive without being in your face. Water constantly being refilled, quality checks, etc. Overall a great addition to the area! I have high hopes for this place and will come back!
UPDSTE: I appreciate the reply. In response, I did come 3 to 4 months ago and had a note reminding myself to review it since it was too memorable/surprising of an experience. I was here for dinner. As I see most better reviews had lunch here instead. Sunmary: Food has bug and lack quantity and quality for the price range. Server is lost. Price: 3/5 passing. It is at a 60 to 80 dollar per person range. Quite normal pricing for almost-fine-dine experience. However, nor the food and the experience was worth that price. I see that lunch is around 30 dollars, that is how much my experience might be worth. Experience: 2/5 bad. The atmosphere is "cozy". They are definitely not going for an atmosphere fitting for their price range. The server sounded quite clueless, having to ask the kitchen staff often about the menu. We had a table of 6. Since the menu isn't especially huge, we were able to taste most the dishes on it. The service was slow. The scratched up cups that they used already gave me a slight red flag about their food... The cups they used are not what I would expect from the price range. Food: 1/5 bad. Food quality is not worth 60 dollar. Food is definitely at 30 dollar range. Since we had enough people to try multiple dishes, I believe only the lamb and the fish were okay. The rest lacks quality and quantity. Especially the side veggies, they look sad. Worst comes to worst I discovered a bug towards the end of my fish dish which ended my appetite. I really hope that was just a one off. After the long 30 min+ wait, I was treated with food that lacks quality and quantity with a bug. Knowing I was paying 60+ per person for this, I was unhappy about everything at this restaurant. The photos attached are the lamb and half finished the fishes dish we had. As you can see the lamb is fair and the vegetables are not good looking with the bug on top.
