The food was alright but very average Chinese food. I had the chicken feet and ribs with rice which was comparable to food court Chinese food taste and quality. I also ordered these things called Donkey Rolls which were essentially red bean paste stuffed glutinous rice rolls topped with soy powder. The Donkey rolls were not good. The mochi/glutinous rice was stale and hard instead of soft and squishy and the red bean paste did not taste homemade... It tasted like the premade manufactured overly sweet generic red bean paste.
Feels like the employees/managers seem confused. Most of the food that came was mediocre or subpar. Wouldn’t recommend for dim sum, there is better quality places. Ordered a couple dishes and they are either cold, burnt, or just not cooked properly. Service also sucked. Would give no tips, but the food servers were ok.
We’ve been here a couple times now. Once for dim sum and once for dinner. The restaurant is tucked away in the back of the Richmond Public Market. There is plenty of free parking in the connected parkade as well as metered street parking. There’s an entrance from the street or you can go through the market for the second entrance. While we thought their dim sum was only OK, their dinner was quite good! We had the Peking duck and lobster with cream sauce + noodles noodles are extra $ meal for 6 people. We added a few other items as well including the sweet and sour pork, chicken and jellyfish salad, beef and gai lan and dry pork ribs. The lobster with cream sauce and noodles was our favourite dish! To finish off, the meal came with complimentary dessert – red bean dessert, cookies and jello. All were very good, especially the almond cookies. The staff was friendly and attentive. We came here for my brother’s birthday and they helped us take photos, cut the cake and changed out our plates.
Ordered the Lobster dinner combo. Like most restaurant adding noodle to the lobster cost extra. The crispy vermicelli is on point a bit on the oily side though. The chicken is flavourful and tender. Really liked the stir fried Chinese cauliflower too. Will come back for dinner. They have got lots of good value combos.
ShawOpen wifi available Inside the restaurant is quite nice, prices are reasonable for sharing - ordered lobster, sweet and sour pork, princess chicken, eggplant with meat and beef with gai lan Very happy with portions and taste, ideally to come in a group of 4 or more. Would come back!
One of the best chinese restaurant i have ever seen, nice and kind people and perfect management, perfectly delicious foods, price are so affordable , i'm recommended enjoy this lovely cozy restaurant, Thanks "Clubone Cafe"
Went for dim sum. I think it's great for what it is - a very casual Cantonese restaurant. The siumai was solid, too.
Service good. Food are ok. Fair price.
Good value fried rice and flat rice noodles for the price. The waitress is very friendly and even test my QR quote to see if it work. 30% for take out.
If I could give a 0 star I would. The service is horrendous. The person who I assume is the manager is very very rude. When I was ready to order he ignored me, and when I finally got his attention he reached across another person's table to take my order. When he came back he threw my order onto the table. He was also exceptionally rude when a customer at a different table asked him a question. He rolled his eyes as soon as he walked away from their table. He also yelled at his two waitresses for talking. In front of all the customers. The food was mediocre. Nothing tasted fresh. The shrimp had a sour taste to it, like it had already gone bad. Some of their sauces had weird clumps of corn starch in them. Food takes forever to come out of the kitchen and it comes out one dish at a time. By the time the second dish comes you've already finished the first one. There's no consistency. Honestly some of the worst dimsum I've had. There are better places to go to. They also complain if you don't give them a tip.
