Really great ambiance! I’ve been here a few times already and have also brought my friends from out of the country for some self care and TLC. This was my first massage and I loved it!! I will continue being a client tho I wish they would still allow guests to use the relaxation lounge when they have a nail treatment. Nails and chill! Haha
“Luxury” doesn’t even begin to cover it. From the front desk staff to the technicians and everything in between, it is a completely luxurious and relaxing experience from start to finish. I checked in and was shown to the facilities where everything you could possibly need is provided for you, including hair and skin products, a thick and comfy robe, a warm neck wrap and sandals. I spent a few minutes in a lovely sauna before going to the relaxation lounge. In the lounge is a variety of overly plush lounge chairs set with blankets, a range of tea with add-ins, sparkling and flavored chilled water, and shortbread biscuits. Magazines and other reading material is available, along with pillows, a fireplace, and soothing music. I went in for a pedicure and spent an hour with Anna, who was sweet and engaging, and especially kind as I had a fresh and unintended wound on my shin that I’d incurred just earlier today. She treated me with very gentle care and even provided a vitamin oil to my leg to help in healing. The pedicure itself was lovely, and getting to know Anna was just as nice. Although the services do seem expensive, once you’re in the spa it’s easy to see why. You get exactly what you pay for - which in this case is the ultimate in high end luxury.
I'm a newlywed and one of the wedding presents we received was a gift card here. I will say that I was very impressed with the cleanliness and tranquility of the facility and the services we received. It was a very relaxing experience and we could have stayed in the relaxation lounge for hours. My experience at checkout, however, was frustrating. When I initially booked our visit over the phone a few weeks ago, I explained to the receptionist that I would be redeeming a gift card that was intended for a specific couple's massage/high tea package. The value of the card was not listed, so I inquired about it's value. I was told the value was $300 and the receptionist booked our visit. Well, fast-forward to check out, I was told the amount due was $395. I was shocked by the price discrepancy. The receptionist explained that when the gift card was initially purchased the package was valued at $300, but the value has since increased to $395. I should have been made aware of this price change when the receptionist booked our visit, but instead I was unexpectedly hit with a $95 charge on my way out. I was intending to give this place a five-star review, but that final interaction and poor customer service really left a sour taste in my mouth.
GORGEOUS nail work from Jennifer W! My perfect shellac manicure lasted more than two weeks and I got so many compliments on it. Jennifer made me feel so relaxed and took great care of me, and I wish the pedicure from her could have lasted all day. I loved that she and all the staff at the British Manor Spa never made me feel rushed—on the contrary, they encourage you to take your time and really luxuriate in the spa’s amenities. This place is heaven: it’s covered in soft pillows everywhere, has a very posh women’s locker room, and their relaxation lounge feels and looks like something at a world-class resort. I will definitely be back!
What an experience! As a male, I don’t go to many spas, but I’ve been to enough to know the good from the great. This experience will be tough to beat and was well worth it! From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly and felt very welcomed. They had a locker all ready for me with a luxury robe, footwear and towel. The client lounge where I waited for my massage is so relaxing and comfortable that I almost didn’t want to leave! The massage was every bit of what I wanted and incredibly satisfying and I didn’t want it to end. After my massage, there was no rush to get out the door like other spas, as I was back in the lounge where I found options of snacks and tea with a warm fire. Eventually I had to come back to reality and leave, but will definitely make a return visit. With so many other options and services, I purchased a couple of gift cards so others can experience British Manor as well.
I was so happy with my entire experience! I'd never been to a spa, so I was unsure and a little uncomfortable at first; but the staff were so warm, professional, and friendly that I was at ease in no time. They treated me with dignity, hospitality, and made me feel so welcome and cared for. The facility is clean, soothing and has gorgeous lighting and decor. I would highly recommend this salon and I will definitely return!
WORTH EVERY PENNY. I loved this place! I'm not just talking about the glitzy glamorous decor detailed throughout this spa but the service level was impeccable. I was visiting from Seattle and had called a few times to arrange my services. The ladies on the phone each time were super welcoming, friendly and helpful and it was no different when I arrived in person. The two ladies at the front desk were great! They even offered me ideas on places to visit while in Portland, in which I followed, and her recommendations did not disappoint. The actual spa service was great. My massage therapist seemed experienced and tailored the massage to my preferences. You even get to keep the lotion bar they use on you! : My husband and I originally planned for a couple's massage but due to the day we were visiting, we could only do back-to-back appointments but it worked out perfectly because we each got to take our showers using their facilities and got to enjoy some time in the relaxation room where they offer complimentary biscuits and tea and fruit-infused water and bottled/canned sparkling waters. The relaxation room can get pretty warm 79 degrees so we couldn't stay in there for TOO long, especially when you're wearing their super-soft luxurious robes! If we ever get a chance to come back, we will : Thank you British Manor Spa, for making our "babymoon" relaxing and positively memorable! : It was FANTASTIC!!
I called the day that I wanted to go in and they were able to fit me in for a quick half-hour massage. My masseuse was very nice and worked on the spots I was having a problem with. Their lounge room was lovely and I could have spent a lot more time in there. It was so nice to pretend to be super posh for twenty minutes. Can't wait to go back.
I took my daughter to the Manor for a much needed relaxing spa day. We both had facials and complimentary scalp massages, a December special. We were greeted with happy faces and offered a warm neck wrap while we filled in our paperwork. We were offered beverages and escorted back to the ladies changing room where we had access to showers, plush robes, towels, the sauna and the beautiful gem of a relaxation room. Our facials were quite lovely, relaxing and we both felt completely pampered. Afterward, we were able to sit in front of the fireplace, chat and soak it in. At one point one of the lovely ladies from the front checked in to see if we needed anything. Relaxing experience, excellent service and a wonderful way to spend some time away from the rat race!
Beyond amazing!! my husband and I had a wonderful time with the couples massage highly recommend as the couples room it’s beautiful, the pampering starts the second you step inside. They really care about the comfort and well being of their customers. The place it’s divine and we couldn’t have been happier with the service. Definitely coming back!!
