Brewhouse Pub & Grille

Ah, the good old Brewhouse, what happened? Many years ago, this was a usual go-out spot. However, the last few years have been nothing but bad, slow service, removal of some of their better menu items like the Chicken Marsala, and decrease in general food quality. I recently decided I wasn't going back for quite some time when we had to walk to the bar to grab our beers after watching them sit poured for 15 minutes and no sign of the waiter.

I have only been here once and I had the steak salad but everything was perfectly cooked and the steak was well seasoned and tender. It was super good and the service was good.

As always, food was excellent! I had one of my favorites - the Queen's Fish. Cod version. (And I love the fact they have malt vinegar available - just adds to the fish and chips! - and their tartar sauce is also EXCELLENT.) This time since it was dinner time I went with a baked potato. I was tempted to have their famous beer cheese soup, but showed restraint. Their micro brew selection is really good, and I had been working in the garden before dinner, so i was pretty thirsty. My choice was the Angry Orchard Apple Ale that they had ON TAP. My usual choice would have been Harvest Moon Beltian White, but the apple ale was a great choice You won't go wrong with any selection on the menu! If there's a line, don't despair. They have lots of tables so it won't be too long.. and it will be worth it!

We stopped in for a bowl of chowder while out shopping. We were very disappointed, we added salt and one of the ladies added a little Tabasco. ..no flavor. I told the waitress and sent back my chowder. Nothing was done to compensate our group not even an I'm sorry. We paid our bills and left.

Good chow but it can be hit or miss depending on who is cooking on a given night. I had the BLT tonight and it was fabulous.
