They sent me an insurance claim stating I owe money to a provider I had no recollection ever being treated by in the Emergency Room and when I googled the doctor it turns out he either doesn't exist or they listed the name wrong. The doctor that I found online closest to the name of the provider they listed is located over six hours away from where I was treated and a specialist in a kind of medicine that was not used for me.
Repeatedly attempted to contact this company regarding an improperly coded insurance claim. Everytime I called received a recording that there would be a 60 to 90 minute wait to speak to a representative regarding the error by this company. No option to receive a call back or leave a message. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Really unprofessional reps. One guy kept hanging up on me after 30 minute hold times right after taking down my information. They also up coded my charge to 99284, which requires a presenting problem of high severity. My medical records actually state that my condition was “mild”. This is fraud!
Healthcare providers, please think twice before contracting with this company. In my opinion, as a patient, this company has provided an absolute disaster of a billing experience. For a single date of service, there have been multiple errors when submitting claims with insurance which of course were denied, a final billing notice after doing my due diligence and being assured that the bill was being resubmitted with insurance, and a 2 HOUR wait on the phone tonight no exaggeration, 2 hours, 7 minutes, and 11 seconds! One error is forgivable, but the rest of the experience has been horrible. Unfortunately, this experience also reflects poorly on the immediate care facility that I went to. In my case, there's an immediate care center for another hospital network right across the street and they're both covered by my insurance. I do have options.
This is the worst billing company! Never received a bill from this company nor is it on my chart with the hospital he was seen at. Bill is $900 now in collections getting someone to answer the phone is a miracle. Attitude and different explanations from hospital to this billing company differs from person to person. And yes I hope people can band together to get a class action suit against this company because this is ridiculous!!! No bill or knowledge of bill and I’m going to call next week with insurance company to try and get this settled. As collector says they cannot bill insurance themselves and Brault says they can’t bill insurance because it’s in collections.
Very poor customer service. I spent 8 hours in the ER room, sat for hours when the on call DR would not return communication, they apologized repeatedly at the hospital, was referred by the wrong DR, would not receive returned calls, and I could go on and on about mistakes made. I received an apology letter from the hospital for the experience. But from Tara Sanford with Brault, I received a very cold letter that I owe the money and I need to pay it. I feel this is a horrible company that places profits over people. She and their company did not address the mistakes they made, and outlined in the certified letter sent.To me it's not about the money, it's about principle and accountability. They are abusing the healthcare system and insurance companies, with no empathy along the way. I look forward to speaking with reporters and social media about the experience.
This place upcodes there ER visits. They want you to code mostly 99284 and 98285. Not right!
Poor customer service. Poor attitudes. Should not be in the business of collections. Do not choose them if you're looking for a billing and collections service. Swindlers.
This place is just Okay to work here. No motivation or room to grow..
You definitely do not want to work for this company...stay away!!!
