I gave birth in here last month and the nurses and doctors were amazing! My Nurse Kris, was very helpful and kind during labour. They accommodated what I needed during the labour and delivery, it went pretty quick. They were top notch that time.nnI would have rated it 5/5 but I hope the private rooms are a bit bigger with maybe a mini fridge and a mini kitchen for my husband and I that time. Thank you BGH!
I was extremely disappointed with the care my daughter received at the Brantford General Hospital Imaging Department. She needed an x-ray, and the image that was taken was of such poor quality that our doctor was unable to interpret it. Even more concerning, the technician failed to recognize the issue or retake the image. This resulted in a complete waste of time and resources—and more importantly, left us without the answers we needed to support my daughter's care.nnTo make matters worse, I was not permitted to accompany my daughter into the x-ray room, even though she is under 12 years old. I have never experienced this at any other hospital. This decision not only caused unnecessary stress for my child, but also opens the hospital up to serious liability concerns. It is standard practice in pediatric care to allow a parent to be present for support and supervision.nnWe will not return to BGH for any future imaging needs. I strongly caution other parents to consider going to a facility with better-trained technicians and more appropriate pediatric protocols—places like McMaster or Woodstock. It is truly alarming to think that a misread or unreadable x-ray could leave a child walking on a break or fracture. This level of care is unacceptable, and I sincerely hope the hospital takes steps to address these serious issues.
We were out of town when my 3 yr old daughter had an allergic reaction and Brantford General was the closest hospital. They were so quick to see her and all staff were friendly and went out of their way to help her feel safe and taken care of.nMuch quicker service than what I’m used to at Cheo.
Brantford Hospital is a poor excuse for a healthcare facility. The wait times are outrageous and the doctors seem completely incompetent.nnI went to Brantford Hospital recently due to a severe allergic reaction. I had swollen lips and bumps covering my face, hands, and body. Despite my visible symptoms, they didn’t take any blood or swab me to check for a fungal infection. My blood pressure was dangerously high, nearing stage 3 hypertension, but they dismissed it as anxiety and didn’t offer anything to help bring it down.nnThe only treatment I received was a single Reactine, which did nothing for my symptoms. Then the doctor came in and told me I had scabies. I knew that wasn’t right, so I went for a second opinion. It turned out to be contact dermatitis.
I went there at midnight with my baby of two years and they were really horrible. My baby was throwing up and the nurse just told us to come get her IF he throws up again?? And they have a waiting period of 7-8 hours. No sense of emergency. The ER IS A JOKE. A poor boy came in with a literal bloody head and said he was feeling dizzy. They just asked him to wait. No first aid no anything he was holding his shirt up to his head to stop the bleeding. Never again!
