Bowmont Medical Clinic is 5 STAR! My husband and I went in to talk about our upcoming trip this winter and we were given the most amazing advice and consultation. I have been to several travel clinics before but Bowmont is THE BEST by far. Connie took her time to explain all the details about where we should go and where we might want to avoid. She gave us maps and important info to have with us on our journey. If you are shopping around for a travel clinic, stop.... and make sure you tell all your friends. They'll be jealous if you don't tell them about these guys at Bowmont Travel. Happy Travels everyone! You'll feel better knowing ALL the important details before you go.
I had good experiences in the past but not this time. Very disorganized. I couldn't get through on the phone and had to email. When I called back, I was transferred numerous times. Several things were missed during my appointment and it felt rushed. When I asked for the prescription that was missed, it had the wrong name and personal info. When I asked for it to be corrected, I got a snarky response. I asked a question but the answer was never provided. Won't be going back.
This is a great travel clinic as well as a family health clinic. My experience was warm and welcoming when I first arrived at the reception area and my appointments were all on time. I have had most of my travel vaccinations at this clinic and the nurses and doctors are very caring and very professional. Thank you Bowmont Travel Clinic!
Amazing customer experience. Dr.Acharya was amazing and helped me find the correct immunizations I needed for my missions trip. She also helped some of my friends with there immunizations and they also had a great experience. Quick and fast appointment and was treated and cared for in a professional matter. Thanks guys :
I've gone to the Travel Vaccine Clinic three times in the last seven years, and I've always had a great experience. Like the free parking, nice location and friendly people. We where headed to a few exotic destinations and needed to know what kind of infectious diseases we could be exposed to. Got the info and the shots. I didn't get ebola on my trip. Thanks!
I am happy to add a NEW REVIEW. After my recently posted review, I was contacted by the owner of Bowmont Travel Clinic. She was very distressed at the "service" I received and was most anxious to remedy it. She made contact with the staff member involved and also with myself and was able to completely satisfy me and my friend that with whom I am travelling that those circumstances will never happen again. She agreed to meet with us and have the appropriate vaccines made available. She even offered to come into the office and do these herself. As well as the apology and correction of service, she refunded the fee we were charged. I DO understand that mistakes can happen and am very pleased that the owner & clinic have remedied the situation to my full satisfaction. Thank you. Judi Pearce If there were less than 1 star I would have used that!!! My friend, Moira, and I are travelling to East Africa in November. We made an appointment for Saturday morning with the Travel Clinic and filled out the appropriate paperwork.The receptionist was pleasant and helpful and then we were sent to see Barb Zenteno. This woman was the nastiest and most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. Because of my RA, I had obtained and showed her a letter from my doctor stating that I cannot have the Yellow Fever vaccine. She proceeded to tell us that she would not give me the other necessary vaccines and that I would not be allowed into Kenya without the vaccine. I told her that our Travel Agent/Tour Guide had let us know that I could enter with an original letter from my doctor and that she had earlier these past several years she has been 4 times she has taken other people with this documentation and had absolutely no problem. She proceeded to tell me that I could die and that it would be a very unpleasant death with blood pouring from my eyes and my ears, etc. She said there was no way I would be allowed to enter the country with this documentation. She further proceeded to ask why I would trust my doctor and my tour guide instead of her. All this time, she continued to sneeze and sniffle with a terrible cold that we were not happy with her sharing in that small space. She was rude and just kept interrupting our questions and repeating that she would not complete my vaccines and we should just get another itinerary and go to Europe instead. I told her that we had already paid for a very high end trip and intended to check out other alternatives. I did this, and in talking with Sheldon Shumir travel clinic both of us are able to get all necessary vaccines and documentation. This rude and unprofessional "consultation" is what we paid $110 for and got nothing in return for our payment. I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO HER AND SOMEONE DEFINITELY NEEDS TO HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH HER ABOUT HER LACK OF HELP AND UNPROFESSIONALISM. Judi Pearce
Getting ready to go on holidays, so my husband and I went in for vaccines and took our 4 young children also. Anyone who has a large family knows how stressful it can be to take everyone out, let alone taking them all to be poked! We arrived and the travel clinic was quite busy, nearly sending me into a panic worried that my kids would have far too much time to destroy the waiting room! The ladies working the desk were so patient and had us in quickly. When giving the vaccines the woman who administered them was so great. We were in and out far more quickly than I had expected and no waiting rooms or patients were destroyed in the process. I highly recommend them, we were very pleased. Thank you for helping this momma in a stressful situation.
Really appreciate the doctor consult as she's is really well versed in the different cities/areas no matter what country I threw at her. Very informative with us as to what we needed and what wasn't. Plus the benefits of prevention, they provided the right vaccines and malaria prevention, we needed depending on where we were traveling. They also have great travel products such as compression socks, mosquito nets, water bottle filters, water purification tablets and bed bug spray.
Very polite and on time but I needed boosters that I couldn't have without a consult so my trip was in vain. I'd also told them I needed a flu shot and they had none at the clinic so even that couldn't be done. They are more expensive than Sheldon Chumir but the location is great for anyone living in Varsity.
I made an appointment with them at the beginning of the week for Thursday; On Wednesday at about noon, I tried calling to ask a question, yet received no answer. I left my name and number but no one got back to me. I went into my appointment at 9am the next day, waited until 9:45, when the receptionist decided to tell me that they couldn't get a hold of the doctor and they have no idea where she is. I took my business elsewhere, to the clinic at North Hill mall, where consultation and vaccines are $10 cheaper anyways. The receptionist also didn't apologize when I told her to just cancel my appointment. I never write reviews, but I don't want others to be affected by this.
