I would give this particular Boston Pizza 3.5 Stars. It's not horrible. My main issue was the service. We went on a regular Wednesday night, there was no big sporting event on at all. It wasn't super busy in there to be honest. After being seated it took 15 minutes for someone to come and even greet us. The server was very apologetic and I completely appreciated her and her service. What I noticed though were so many people just walking back and forth seemingly not knowing what they were doing. There were 2 men at the bar and they were not doing anything? Maybe they weren't supposed to be there but they were in and out from behind the bar. It just felt really chaotic with no reason for chaos. Anyway, I frequent Boston Pizza's and this one just needs someone to give it better direction maybe. Once we did receive our order, the food was good, drinks were good, and our 'server' was good.
Ordered 2 pastas for dinner and we loved it. Friendly service, but slow. It was hockey night, and there was one server, so it's understandable. They should have more servers on the busy night!
Do **NOT** go here if you’re in a group larger than six people. This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Our hockey team had planned this visit over a month in advance. We arrived with about 20 hungry kids under 11 years old — and every single one of them waited over an hour for their food. The parents waited even longer.nnTo make matters worse, I watched a group of six come in about 30 minutes after us, receive their meals, eat, and leave **before any of our kids were served**.nnBut the real disaster came when it was time to pay. The staff couldn’t figure out how to provide separate bills, even though they seemed to be tracking everything by family group. We ended up sitting there for another 30 minutes while they tried — and failed — to sort it out. Eventually, one frustrated parent just paid the entire bill so we could all get out of that nightmare.nnAbsolutely unacceptable experience.
After the hostess seated us we waited for 20 minutes for a server. Another customer was seated 5 minutes after us and was promptly served a drink. The waitress walked right by us, looked at us, but didn’t even stop to take our order. We ended up leaving and letting the hostess know how long we waited and that no one had come to serve us. This isn’t the first bad experience we’ve had here with service either. We once waited 30 minutes for our bill. Looking at other people’s reviews it seems it is a common problem. Not sure if they need to work on their communication between the hostess and the servers ‍
The Artichoke dip was good, nachos had better elsewhere.. The Jambalaya was decent.. Onion soup was excellent, chicken wings was overcooked and rubbery, pecan chicken salad the chicken was the same.. Tasted frozen, overcooked and rubbery.. What saved the night was our excellent server Amanda.. She did a great job with what she has to work with.. The hostess at the door was also great!
