Simply delicious. Service is quick and the staff is very nice. The appetizers are excellent and for the price of a big Mac meal you can get a more than fulfilling thali veggie or not. Vegetarian options: Lot of choices Wheelchair accessibility: There's stairs so I don't think so.
Second time here. Great Indian food!! Beautiful flavours, friendly service. The lamb and butter chicken were cooked perfectly, tender and bursting with flavor. One suggestion: maybe replace the plastic straw with something more eco-friendly. Thank you.
Cozy BYOW Indian restaurant with delicious food, great portions and reasonable prices. The service is friendly and quick. Most of the days it’s a busy place so it’s best reserving in advance. I’ve tried their soups, curries, biryani, naan and thali. Everything is always fresh and tasty, and they have something for each palate ranging from sweeter mild stuff such as Korma to the spicier Vindaloo. Vegetarian and meat-lover friendly. I definitely recommend this place for some delicious Indian food.
Best indian restaurant ever. I go to Montreal for this restaurant!! We ordered korma and vindaloo and it was perfect combination. vindaloo was spicy and korma was creamy sweet in a good way. Naans were so fresh and crispy. We finished whole dish. BYOW was cherry on top
Very good place, first time I got to try Indian food and I'm blessed of the variety of food there is out there, this shines light on what I want in life. I want to live and try everything out there, this makes me love the culture and want to dive deep in everything related. Thank you for the service and delicious butter chicken, wish the kind staff a happy 2023 with love and peace. As always thank you
Butter Nan super soft and Tasty. My wife likes it. My son likes the butter chicken. I can't blame for the spiciness of the Lamb biryani. Masala dosa good and the chutney tastes fresh. It was not busy when we visited, so it's comfortable. I don't like crowded places. Good place if you wish have a peaceful Lunch or dinner. Service is bit slow Very.
Ok resto. Place seem clean. Very good service. Food is decent. People need to be aware that there is butter according to them on the naan. And it arrives all oily. If you don't like that, ask for it not to be applied. There was as well a lot of oil in the dishes. If I compare to all the other Indian restaurants around, there is not that much oil or almost none. I definitely prefer no oil, IF posible. As well, the potatoes inside the naan, were not that well cooked. Will come back to check the consistency. Verdict. Give it a try.
Not much to dislike. You don't go here to be impressed with fancy decor. It has an Indian Family style restaurant vibe. Very popular through the years as you can tell by the rating and number of reviews. The only critique is that once the resto gets busy your server will not come by, and you need to 'go get them' if you need something. We had mulagatani soup, paneer, lamb curry, butter chicken, and vegetables korma. Delicious!
Ordered it through ubereats. It took longer than estimated, but the food was still warm once we finally got it. The naan was very good. It had a pleasant chewy texture and was well seasoned with garlic. The curry and the paneer were very good. Spicy, but just enough to be able to enjoy the food to the max. The rice however is on the dryer side. But it’s good with the curry. The food was sent in plastic containers that were reusable.
The service was fast and the food was good. Prices are OK. Is it the best place in Montréal? No, but it does have some qualities. The Malcatani soup was good but spicy hot. It kinda made it difficult to taste the rest of the meal. The butter chicken and the Tikka Masala were good but they lacked a certain richness of flavor. The standout meal was the Chicken Tikka and the chicken samosa. I read some comments about Naan bread being covered with oil or butter, they are right but they weren't soggy or oily just glistening a bit. Parking: Parking is an issue. Jean-Talon has meters and all the streets around have restricted parking for residents.
