Visited Bombay Dosa Cafe in Calgary and it was a treat for the senses! The service was exceptionally fast, ensuring we didn't have to wait long for our delicious meal. The food was not only flavorful but also presented in a unique and creative way on distinctively designed plates. The ambiance was clean, well-lit, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. However, given its smaller size, it might be a bit cozier than some prefer… The unique design of the plates added a special touch to the overall dining experience. Despite the size, the place exudes a charm that makes it worth a visit. Looking forward to returning for another flavorful journey!
Awesome food, even better atmosphere. This was seriously an amazing place to eat. While the front of the store is nothing special, the minute you walk down the hall to your table, it’s like you’re transported to another world. The whole vibe of the restaurant is so fun, from the rain noises, to the water features and all the decorations. The food was also very good, the crispy momos were delicious, and so was the onion butter garlic dosa. The staff were lovely, very helpful and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this place.
Beautiful ambience that simulates tropical sunny rainforest, plus special lighting and sound effects of a thunderstormThis place serves authentic Indian vegetarian food. Highly recommended. Taste just like the South Indian food you can find in SE Asia.Food: 5/5
Second time enjoying this restaurant. The first when is was thirty below and now close to 30 above. The food is simple and tasty. The atmosphere is charming and restful. The Indian coffee was delightful. Even if you have to Google a dosa before coming, it's worth it just for the coffee.
This place is so inviting and calm. Mind you, it was a bit expensive for what we got. But, The food was really good and well prepared. The staff was soo kind and friendly. An overall great experience!
Amazing vibes here, literally feel like you're in the middle of a forest. The sounds and lighting add to the ambience. In terms of food, the portions are huge and definitely need to shareable. I tried their achari dosa and it was full of flavour and tangy. They don't however give you water and it can be pretty pricey to get some so that was a downside. All the food is vegetarian which makes it great for everyone!
BEWARE OF VISUAL DECEPTION OF QUANTITY Check pictures to understand how deceiving the quantity of items is, the plates and bowls have a raised bottom which create a visual deception of higher quantity but when depth is compared from exterior v/s interior you will notice the difference. Food was higher in salt, mediocre at its best.
Restaurant is just fine. we went for the first time to this restaurant to try south indian cuisine and ordered masala dosa and paneer dosa dosa's were okay-okay and masala chai - which had no taste of masala at all. If you like south indian cuisine i would never recommend this place. And if a chai lover a big no no.Food: 2/5
This place is an absolute dream of a visit, and the feeling of walking right into a new world is just so fun. The changing weather is such a fun feature to watch, and the multiple ways the room changes around you for the weather changes are mesmerizing to watch. Also thoroughly enjoyed our food and desserts. The service was also some of the sweetest I’ve seen, we had a worker jokingly offer us an umbrella during the rain, and the server made sure to check in on us right when he saw us and explained their call button system which had immensely quick service. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy this space again.
Food and service staff was nice, as expected in taste and quality. But Important is atmosphere was a little irritating with water and birds sound in background. best to keep this sound a little low as it creates headache for guest inside. Rest overall was appropriate. PLUS important water should be served complimentary and NOT Charged 0.50 cents while dining in. as all other east Indian restaurants serve water complimentary and not charge this 0.50 cents bottled water shows cheap. Vegetarian options: all ok.
