Had the steak and eggs. Bill was $45 for 3 eggs a 6oz steak and 1 Italian sausage. They should have more Keto options. Nothing special but Average Decent food.
After reading great reviews for Bobby’s Hideaway, we decided to go here for a quick catch up and for some good food. This place was bright and had lots of seating. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Penne 5/5, Beef Dip 4/5 and Fish and Chips 5/5.nnGrilled Chicken Penne was deliciously creamy. The chicken was juicy and the mushrooms were bouncy. The pasta sauce had a faint taste of wine which was pleasant. The dish also came with garlic bread.nnBeef Dip was good. The sandwich was packed with sliced beef. The only thing that would’ve been nice is if we were given the option to change the cheddar cheese to either Swiss or mozzarella. The onion rings were fresh and crispy.nnFish and Chips were enjoyable. The fish to batter ratio was perfect. It didn’t feel like I was eating mostly batter. The fries were really good too.nnOverall, the portions were big and the service was fast. Our server was friendly and kept checking in on us which was nice. We’d love to come back again to try other items on their menu.
I’m honestly sad to be writing this 2-star review. I never imagined I’d have anything less than praise for Bobby’s Hideaway, especially since every past visit has been met with consistently top-notch service and quality. But today was different, and not in a good way.nnThis was actually my first time ordering takeout from Bobby’s Hideaway, we usually dine in and always have a great experience. The only part that felt in line with their usual hospitality was when someone kindly brought my food out to me while I waited on the patio. That small gesture was appreciated, but unfortunately, it was the high point of the entire experience.nnBefore placing my order, I asked specifically about the fries, whether there was a noticeable difference between ordering them separately or adding them as a side to the wings. The server assured me it would be “just a little bit less.” I took that at face value, and honestly, I’m kicking myself now for not ordering the fries on their own.nnWhen I got home and opened the box, I was shocked. The fries looked more like a garnish than an actual side, like a handful. It didn’t even come close to what I’ve come to expect from Bobby’s, especially since I always rave about how great their fries are.nnThen came the wings. The sauce was on the side, which in itself isn’t a problem, except I was never given the choice. My daughter has ordered wings here before and was always asked if she preferred them tossed or on the side. Maybe takeout is handled differently than dine-in, but that’s exactly the kind of detail a server should clarify.nnWorking in customer service myself, I know the importance of offering options, asking the right questions, and guiding customers through decisions, especially when those small details can completely change the experience. That just didn’t happen today, and it left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.nnAnd to top it off, when I opened the bag, I noticed the lid of the honey garlic sauce had come off. The container was warped, possibly from heat or condensation—and it was packed in a thin paper cup instead of the sturdier plastic container that the plum sauce for the chicken fingers came in. It was messy, and honestly, it felt careless.nnI don’t know what’s happening. I’ve always trusted Bobby’s Hideaway to deliver, whether it’s their unforgettable fortune crust salmon or their perfectly golden fries. But today’s experience didn’t feel like them at all, and it’s disappointing to feel let down by a place I’ve trusted for so long. May 19
Bobby's Hideaway is a delightful choice for a morning breakfast. We went on a weekday in the morning and really enjoyed the experience. It's a nice cozy place to have breakfast or brunch. It was a bit crowded even on a weekday but we were promptly seated without any waiting time. The food was delicious, and the amazing staff were attentive, efficiently managing the crowd while providing a five-star service. We ordered the Salmon Benny and Veggie Benny, both offering exceptional freshness and savory flavors. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is great. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for an early morning family breakfast.
nI’m Andrea, a professional hairstylist @andrea.cut.my.hair1, and I have to say — I really appreciate passion and authenticity in everything, whether it’s in my work or in places I visit. And this restaurant? It absolutely reflects both.nnThe food and service was amazing, hands down the BEST breakfast our group has had in the area from Niagara to Bowmanville. We couldn’t say enough about the freshness of the ingredients, their taste was just exceptional.nnI will agree with another reviewer and the blueberries were large, ripe, and full of incredible flavor. The pictures do NOT do the food justice and top it off the coffee was great too.nnBefore we fly out we plan to return to the Triple B.
