Boat House Pub & Eatery

It's been years since my wife or I had been here, so we decided to give it another go. We got in just before the rush on Friday evening. We were seated right away, but it was about 10-12 minutes before the waitress came to greet us and get our drink order. We ordered an "Ocean Waves" as an appetizer (potatoes w/parmesan). Not bad. Not as good as the Sand Dollars at the Yardarm in Racine, but not bad. For our entrees, I had the baked cod and my wife had the The Land Lubber Sandwich. My wife loved the sandwich (LOTS of bacon), but my cod was overcooked.. tough and chewy. Decent sized portions. Overall it was a good experience. Nice atmosphere, pretty good food, and the prices weren't bad. Two entrees, two soft drinks, and an appetizer for under forty dollars. We'll give it another shot in a couple months.

Planned a surprise party from TN in two weeks. The Boathouse was EXTREMELY accommodating. The new manager, banquet planner and staff assisted me with everything - even hanging a 6 foot banner! They also made sure my mother came in the best door for the best surprise. Food was FABULOUS! We were there for over 4 hours. They made everything run extremely smooth. Two wait staff worked to ensure 40 - 50 people were taken care of and were GREAT!! If you need a place for gathering, the Boathouse is your place!

Great view of the harbor. Great Bloody Marys. The owner(Jim) is a personable guy who knows much about commercial and recreational fishing in Kenosha. They have their own smokehouse for fishermen who bring in their catch. Smoked and fresh fish is on the menu. Love this place!

We went for dinner. I ordered the Basa. It tasted like mushy eggs. The fried green beans were hard as a rock. My daughter was pleased with the salmon and salad. They never gave us rolls. They were not very attentive. I was told to go for lunch as it is much better for lunch, but after this experience I doubt I will return.

I would totally.. Absolutely... And confidentiality recommend The Boathouse. Especially for fish fry. Not to mention they have one of the nicest bartenders. One on the inside one on the outside bar. Every night is great here and they are always in good moods Its a place that as a person who has worked in the food world my whole life that i envy because of the moral that is amongst the employees
