Blue Ocean Bar & Grill

The Blue Ocean Bar and Grill is undoubtedly a wonderful spot for a drink or a meal after a round of golf. I’d also recommend it for the last Friday of the month Prime Rib meal even if you don’t play golf!nnSat on there patio soaking up the sun in beautiful surroundings and enjoyed a Sangria and prime rib meal.nnThe prime rib was cooked to perfection - juicy and very tender, the Yorkshire Pudding was light and crispy and the whole meal extremely enjoyable.nnAs we were travelling with our dog, we enquired if there patio was dog friendly and they welcome us and our dog with great enthusiasm. Apparently allowing well behaved dogs on the patio is a new thing they are trying out, we hope they can continue!nnA wonderful well cooked meal served by excellent staff!

The main thing is that the salad took almost an HOUR and it comes out looking like something I could've made in 5 minutes. Barely anything but greens and a bit of sauce.nnI could also count on my fingers the number of yam fries we got in one order.nnThe patio wasn't necessarily busy either - but the service was abysmal.nThe waiter, who may have been the only waiter on shift today, was super inattentive. Forgets to give me utensils for my soup and the salad, expecting us to eat with our hands. Server was super unprofessional too, and only gave me it was a table for 3 a glass of water.nnThe cherry on top? The napkin wrapping my father's utensils seemed to be stained in a strange green/yellow sauce, as if it was used before.nnHe used to be employed here years ago but this restaurant has gone down hill. We are very disappointed and most certainly will not be returning. The menu no longer has seafood and the service is among the worse I've EVER experienced.

Just had the best burgers everrrrr in the entire 20 years we lived in the Coast! The restaurant here whipped up four burgers for us half an hour before close, order completed in 15 minutes, to our specifications. You could tell effort went into it - much appreciated.

We held our wedding and reception here, and it was absolutely perfect. Lisa was incredibly helpful and kind and ensured we had the best day possible. She was quick to respond leading up to the day, and extremely helpful on the day of the wedding. She had lots of great ideas. The food was amazing and the staff was great. Our quests were quite happy with the food. Overall, we had a great wedding at the Blue Ocean.

Spare yourself. I ordered fish and chips and it was, I’m pretty sure, store bought frozen fish sticks which were chewy, dry and had no flavour. They didn’t have tartar sauce so they gave me mayo. The other 3 diners I was with all had the roast beef special. The packaged gravy was so salty they had to scrape it off the meat. Only 1 out of those 3 guests finished his beef and he regretted it all night long. Needless to say we will not be back
