Blue Moon Retreat

Over the years, we’ve had nothing but great experiences coming to Blue Moon Retreat however this trip came as a disappointment to us. The owners Travis and Louise seemed disinterested in helping us resolve issues with the hot tub and we were left without this amenity during our stay health issues also arose due to massive chemical imbalances. Louise had kindly offered us a discount but to no avail. We were shocked at how we were greeted by Travis on the property and left our family feeling grossly uncomfortable. We would have appreciated a little more concern as guests at their resort.

This was our third time staying at the Blue Moon. We love it as a late season getaway once our tenting season is done. Our anniversary is November so it's a lovely place to relax for a romantic weekend. Travis and Louise are absolutely wonderful and put so much care and effort into creating a great experience for their guests. We will absolutely be coming back again and again!

My husband and I spent a week in the Islandview cottage for our honeymoon. It was amazing! We were happily greeted by Travis, and were surprised by the complimentary champagne waiting for us to enjoy. The cabin was incredibly comfortable and the view of the lake was beautiful! We enjoyed our week kayaking and canoeing around the lake, lounging in the hot tub and by the fire.nWith the pandemic happening, we had to reschedule and postpone our wedding, and thus our honeymoon as well, many times. Travis was very understanding and cooperative with rescheduling and genuinely made this trip perfect.nBest Honeymoon Ever! We will absolutely be coming back next year :

We stayed at Island View. A genuinely charming 1 bedroom with all mod cons and thoughtfully decorated. Travis was quickly responsive when the propane tank ran dry and it's cousin was steps away. Very pretty lake, really nice people and the Internet was fine. I caught a couple hundred bass and thoroughly enjoyed my week.

Breathtaking is all I can say. My wife and I went up in early June to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we could not have been any happier. We booked a week in their island view cottage. The cottage is clean, very roomy and cozy and the views are stunning. Our giant deck overlooked the lake. Each morning we sipped on our coffee and Baileys of course and watched the sunrise from our deck. Absolutely gorgeous. We also had an outdoor covered hottub which was soothing during the cooler nights. We enjoyed s'mores by our own secluded fire pit in the evenings and listened to the night come alive. This place was perfect. If you want privacy I highly recommend the island view. The only interaction we had with anyone else was with Louise the owner who was very accommodating and friendly and that was it. That is exactly what we both wanted. And than there's the lake. We had our own dock and we used the peddle boat for hours. It was truly everything we were looking for and will definitely be going back. Highly recommended!!!!
