We came across this lodge on a resort ad, and at first discovered it was a "fishing" resort. However we stayed in one of the new Bison suites and it didn't disappoint, even though we didn't use it as a fishing resort. It came with an amazing mountain and river view, along with some actual Bison! Rooms were very spacious and clean, with very good privacy. It is very clear that the ownership pays very close attention to detail. I'm sure the fishing is great, but this hands down is an amazing place to get away and relax. Even if you are looking for a romantic getaway. We would strongly recommend this to our friends and family, and if in the area again we will likely try and stay here. Thanks to Frank and staff for a wonderful experience.
We had an amazing wedding here at the Fraser River Lodge! Leading up to the event, communication with Wendy and the other office staff was great. They answered our many emails full of questions quickly and efficiently. On the day of, the lodge was so beautifully decorated, and the natural scenery is stunning. The staff were all very friendly and communication was great, especially from our day-of coordinator I believe her name was Sierra?. They were very accommodating, I said I couldn’t drink alcohol and the server immediately made me a custom mocktail! The food was incredible, our guests were raving about it for months after. The accommodations were comfortable and the staff added some really cute personalized touches to the honeymoon suite.
We had the best wedding at The Fraser River Lodge! Wendy made the coordination of rescheduling our wedding date multiple times due to COVID completely seamless. It made the process as stress-free as wedding planning can be. On the weekend of the wedding the whole staff was incredible and welcoming! Jenna went above and beyond to help us with all our needs and even ran out to get batteries for our tabletop lights. Everyone raved about the delicious food! Also our wedding party stayed on site at the outpost which was wonderful and convenient. We stayed in the new Bison Suites which was fantastic! Overall amazing experience!
I stayed at this lodge back in June, 2017. I enjoyed some of the most awesome fishing of my life. I caught sturgeon in heaps, some only as long as my forearm, and some that were as long as a pine log and weighing over 250 pounds of muscle! They were so big that my friends back home didn't believe the pictures, they thought I had photo-shopped me holding those magnificent beasts! The guide knew the area like the back of his hand, and I got amazing pictures thanks to him. Come one, come all, to these amazing fishing grounds, surrounded by the most beautiful mountains in Canada. Thank you, Frank, for a wonderful and memorable trip. You've made a truly wonderful and great resort thanks to your work ethic and natural business sense. Hope to fish with you guys again, some day!
Had the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had while dealing with their events coordinator, Claudette. We had paid a full deposit for a 100 person wedding in peak season in 2020, but begrudgingly transferred our deposit to a date in 2022 due to the pandemic. We loved the lodge and really wanted to have a wedding there, so despite being legally married, we kept our rescheduled wedding date in 2022. When I unexpectedly got pregnant in early 2022, we knew that we wouldn’t be able to pay for a wedding and have a new baby in the same year. When we told the staff at the lodge, who were informed immediately when we found out we were pregnant, we were constantly met with resistance and excuses regarding why our deposit couldn’t be refunded. They claimed to post the date on social media and send emails, however I followed their Instagram account and was on their mailing list and hardly saw the date advertised. In the end, they only refunded us $3000 of our over $16,000 deposit. When I explained our right financial situation to Claudette, she claimed they were “losing money” despite having recently added their Bison suites. I went from being the lodge’s biggest fan to never recommending them to any of my engaged friends. Buyer beware - They will always take your money instead of showing any human compassion regardless of your circumstances.
We attended a wedding here and stayed in the executive suite. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were amazing. Anytime during the wedding, if you so much as thought you might need or want something, a staff member appeared and offered you a solution to your problem.Rooms: 5/5
I truly loved our wedding at this fabulous location. The view the food the atmosphere is everything we could ask for, the only reason I can't give a full 5/5 is just due to communication in the planning process leading up to the wedding, I found it lacking and was left confused or with questions on what to do, but I still recommend this venue 1000 times over.
We had our wedding at the Fraser River Lodge this past September. From our very first visit to see it as a potential venue we feel in love with the location, facilities, and view. But it kept getting better. The staff were so helpful and professional from day 1. Answering questions, giving options, and being with us on our wedding journey every step of the way. Which led to the most amazing wedding week we could have dreamed of. The day was perfect, the staff were so amazing. Every last one of them. Frank and Anne owners have somehow put together the most amazing team I think I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. We just can't say enough about them and how they made our special day perfect. The venue, just so clean and well maintained. The service was top notch, even outdoing the 5 star resorts I've stayed in. The food, oh my, the food. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it. Lastly, the view is so spectacular. We can't say enough, and thank them all enough for everything they did and how passionate the do it. But thank you Frank and all. You made our dream day come true. 10 stars out of 5 for the Fraser River Lodge.
My husband and I were married here 5 years ago. For our Anniversary we decided to go back and stay over night. We stayed in one of the new Bison Suites. It was hands down the nicest room we've ever stayed in. We had dinner and breakfast. The food is exceptional one of the reasons we chose this venue for our wedding. It was so nice to meet Chef Justin - he is crazy talented! The service is impeccable and everyone is so friendly. 10/10 will always recommend. Treat yourself - you won't regret it!!!
We recently got married at Fraser River Lodge and can't begin to describe how amazing everything was. The staff was beyond amazing, Wendy & Adrienne went above & beyond what was asked of them. The general staff, from the servers, and the bartender to Jenna our favourite person at the venue, she was amazing and deserves a nice raise ; everyone was extremely friendly & courteous throughout the entire event. From moments when Adrienne helped my father, who is in a wheelchair, get his food and help him back to his seat to when she helped me get my pipers plaid fixed numerous times. Everyone who came to our wedding hasn't been able to stop gushing about how beautiful the location was and how amazing all the food was. My wife absolutely loved the gnocchi & was beyond appreciative to the chef for changing the recipe match her dietary restrictions. The prime rib was also a clear standout. I'd comment on the food but with how much was going on, I honestly didn't get to try much but I'm beyond pleased that all of the guests were ecstatic about it. There honestly isn't a single negative thing we could say & we hope to be able to come back someday as two days wasn't enough time to spend at such a beautiful location.
