We love the waitress! She was friendly, knows the menu and can recommend any dish according to your taste. The food is good and unbelievable quantities. The chips not the best, but the salsa is good. The was our second trip there and we would definitely go back.
Solid American-style Mexican food. Serves mole sauce which is a huge plus. No liquor license not a strike against them, just a note. Great service. Huge portions great value. Freshly fried chips and large carafe of fresh salsa complimentary.
I was impressed with the food here & the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was fresh & the menu was more diverse than expected. I had fish tacos & they were delicious! The food that my family ordered was beautiful & delicious as well! So excited to have a place like this in Oscoda!
Perhaps a bad experience. Ordered a steak and it came out so well done it was like shoe leather. I asked for another as I like medium rare. They were out. The owner yelled at our waitress loudly it was her fault for not asking how it should' have been cooked and he told her she would pay for it from her own pocket. My wife finished her meal and we left. May have good food but that night service was deplorable and turned us into Mango fans.
A nice place for some decent Mexican food. The chimichanga was nice and crispy and tanga chicken was very good. Spouse had shrimp, and those were pretty plain and could have benefited from some additional spices. Very good service, but don't hit this during peak times or expect a wait.
Food was mediocre and service was lackluster. We were seated quickly but then we were forgot about. It took 15 minutes to get our drink order and then about a half hour to get our food order. The food came up promptly after the order was put in but one of our dishes was missing an item. To top it off they do not serve alcohol so the long waits were even more painful.
Good traditional Mexican food. Wait staff is great. Had a ball talking to our waitress. Bubbly and good natured, really made us feel at home. Will definitely frequent this establishment.
Food and service was good. We have been to Oscoda off and on throughout the winter to notice that the restaurant was closed. Well we were there this week and thinking about it as about to pass the restaurant I pulled into the parking lot to find a sign in the window that read " Closed for the season " we will be looking forward to the re-opening. Well it looks like the Blue Iguana won't be opening. There is a FOR SALE sign in front of the building.
In my experience it's really a "hit and miss" on whether you get good service or not. And the same goes with the cleanliness of the silverware & restaurant. The prices are fair. I really enjoy the Beef Burritos..and the Salsa is good..but worst Chips ever!
Despite the wait on july 5th so lots of people in town for the holiday the service and food was excellent. I loved the enchiladas rancheras and wanted to order a second plate if my stomach would allow. You could tell the staff was working hard with how busy they were.
