Had absolutely delicious fish and chips! The wife loved her poutine and my daughter really enjoyed her shrimp po’boy. They also loved their cocktails, the “pear and pine” was especially tasty. Wonderful service. We will be back!
First time visiting this restaurant and location. I enjoyed the ahi and how easy it was to make a reservation through open table but for $25 I expected a much bigger portion. Our 10 year olds loved the Donair nachos but not so much the pizza. If you have food allergies like I do you are going to the wrong place and your options will be very limited, especially if you can't eat cheese. LF cheese is so easy to get now but I couldn't have the pizza because they don't offer LF cheese which I find ridiculous. Speaking of ridiculous, I am from Dartmouth and I 100% know for sure that the Donair meat is gluten free but B&G's is not which is super disappointing and I seriously can't believe there's wheat fillers in it. Our server was terrible, almost like it was his first day and couldn't answer any menu questions without checking with the kitchen. Our water wasn't even refilled and I expected him to be able to give me recommendations of dishes that I could have but that never happened even after asking. Some of the feature dishes are technically GF but are not included on the GF menu. It's very difficult for people like me to go to eat and I shouldn't be thinking about what I'm going to make when I get home while trying to enjoy my small portion meal. Bottom line, definitely won't be going back, way too expensive and very low menu options for people like me.
First time here … what a unique concept! Great food and awesome service from the manager and the whole team. We were in a bit of a rush and they accommodated us perfectly … everyone with genuine smiles & intent to helpn… we ordered a lovely falafel bowl a bit off the beaten track but very tasty and a classic east coast donair … here in the heart of Alberta. Thanks again and also for the complimentary no-jito which really hit the spot!
Anytime we come to Edmonton we make sure we hit up a Blower's.. no matter the location, food is always on point as well as the vibe. Good crews at all the locations but we give the Sherwood location a big 5 stars love the fish tacos, gluten free garlic fingers and radlers on tap.
We were very disappointed with B&G Sherwood Park Lobster Boil last night. It did not start off well since they brought just one cracker and one pick for 3 people. We asked for 3 sets and were told they do not have enough sets so are only allowed to give us one set for the 3 of us. We said we can understand crackers, but the picks should be one per person. Our friend suggested going to the Dollar store to buy some. lol Then the platter came, I picked up a small shrimp, it was cold, mussels were cold, and the potatoes were room temperature. Potatoes usually hold heat for quite a while. Server asked how the food was, we told her everything was cold except the lobsters. She said, “I’m sorry.” then walked away. Another lady asked how the food was about 10 minutes later, and we told her the same. She offered to warm up the potatoes, but we were in the middle of dinner by then, and that wouldn’t help the cold shrimp and mussels so said, “No thank you”. It was our friend’s 1st time at B&G, she said she will not return with her husband, and I don’t believe we will return either except for their NYE Steak & Lobster because of the 4 times we have been, the NYE meal was the only really good meal we have had. We have had the Mussels with wine sauce previously and they were extremely salty; Fish & Chips are okay. Very disappointing to pay that much money for a cold meal without the proper utensils.
