This is my go-to spot when I need a donut fix and they definitely have some of my favourite donuts! I just recently tried the featured Apple fritter and chocolate fudge brownie and they were incredible please make these permanent flavours!! I tend to prefer their “ring” style donuts as the filled ones are sometimes a bit too sweet for my taste. The birthday cake, maple walnut, and vanilla sprinkle are some of my faves! I also can’t just buy one, so I sample a few and freeze the rest for later. I’m not vegan so this wasn’t a factor for me, I just find them delicious! Thanks for making such excellent donuts!
I was quite delighted to find a donut shop inside Bayview Village where David's Tea used to be. The shop is quite cute and has a large variety of flavours to choose from. Asides from donuts and a small selection of baked goods you can also grab a ice cream here. I got the rose pistachio and the London fog. I found the London fog do it to be fairly subtle tasting whereas the rose pistachio had a very pronounced rose flavour. The donut itself was more on the cakey side rather than light and fluffy. Staff was very warm and welcoming. I might come back to try their other flavours.
Was really excited to see what the hype around bloomers was all about. I ordered 3 of the mini loaves 2 carrot, 1 chocolate chip banana and 4 filled donuts of the day boston creme, maple, lemon, carrot cake. Regrettably I spent $30+ and it was NOT WORTH IT! The donuts were not fresh despite ordering minutes after opening, and they were sickeningly sweet. The Boston creme filled donut was the worst of the bunch, it smelled weird and had a weird taste I had to toss it because not even my sister would eat it. Their carrot loaf was good though - it was nice and moist and it had just the right amount of icing. However, the banana chocolate chip had an awful aftertaste, the edges were a bit burnt and it crumbled after the first bite. Very very disappointed. There are other, better vegan+gluten free bakeries in the city I will be going to from now on.
A solid option for vegan donuts which are made fresh daily. The texture of the donut is more on the cakey side and the donut base for many of the flavours is the same with a different glaze/flavour on top. Some of the donuts were very sweet so its better to share as eating 1/4 of a donut was more than enough for my sweet tooth. My favourite was the chocolate peanut butter as it was a great balance of sweet, salty and crunchy with the chopped peanuts on top. The peanut butter must be unsweetened or natural because it was rich of peanut flavour and not cloyingly sweet. Some donuts were fresher than others so try to pick flavours that are high movers because even though they're all made fresh the morning of, some of the donuts tasted a bit more stale and had a harder texture than others because I think it sat out longer. I was excited to try the London Fog donut but unfortunately, it was only a very mild earl grey flavour.
Due to their vegan doughnuts, I would like to give this doughnut shop a five-star rating, however I find it to be overly sweet. The biscoff flavour was good, but the size of it made it difficult for me to finish, I lost interest of eating it. I might be able to try the other doughnuts I bought if they make it a little smaller like krispy kreme size.
Great vegan donuts and other desserts. The donuts are great if you bring them home and microwave them for 10 seconds. Warm, moist, and super tender.
Every time I go to Bayview Village I have to pick up my favourite Vegan donuts at Bloomers. This visit I picked up London Fog, Tiramisu, cookies and cream, birthday cake and peppermint mocha. I shared with my husband and kids and they loved them all. None of us are vegan and agreed they taste even better than other donuts.
Love the aesthetics of the shop. Got the matcha, vanilla sprinkles, birthday cake, tiramisu, Boston cream, and carrot cake. Apologies for the almost eaten donut in the picture, I just realized that I almost forgot to take a picture. The matcha one with the green icing didn't have as much matcha flavour, I wish there was more. It ended up tasting more like vanilla. The carrot cake the one with cake crumbled throughout the top was so delicious, the filling tasted like cream cheese frosting, but it was a tad too sweet. Tiramisu light brown icing was very pronounced in its coffee flavour. The rest were great! I love how the dough is chewy and fluffy. Love the huge size of the donuts, what a fabulous treat. So glad that there is a vegan donut/bakery store that isn't downtown and that is relatively closer to where I live.
I like Bloomer’s on Queen St and I was happy to find it here at Bayview Village. It’s a bit more comfortable to have place for parking and be inside the mall. Selection is super nice, coffee is not that bad too but could be better and it’s really fresh and tasty. I have to say, that some donuts are super sweet, but for those who like it, it’s fine.
Best vegan donuts I’ve tried! The carrot cake donut is sooo good, lemon poppyseed one was a little too sour for my liking. I think I’ll stick to the filled donuts for next time
