Came here for the gelato freak pop up. The place is clean and chic. Gelato was amazing. Smooth creamy and nice for the hot day when we had it. Definitely want to come back and taste the coffee. Gotta have my affogato! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for more pics and content!

Love popping by this shop at any time! The staff here is wonderful and the music in here is amazing! The bagel was also very fresh and tasted delicious!! Would highly recommend this place whether you’re looking for a quick coffee or you want to sit down and sip!

My partner and I love going to Vanta. The staff are always very friendly and the owner, Ali always makes us feel welcome. All of the drinks are good but the Espresso Glacier is my favourite! The sandwiches are tasty especially the Cajun Chicken. The brownie is amazing for chocolate lovers and the spinach feta pastry is yummy. All of the items are Halal. I definitely recommend checking out this place and supporting a small business .

If you’re looking for a nice place to relax, study and want to drink/ dine in, I’d recommend this cute cafe. Inside the cafe is very spacious, and the decorations inside make this cafe seem so cozy. They can get very busy on the weekends, so the seats might be all filled up it was full when I came on Sat evening. You can wait with your food when a seat is available as usually someone will leave; we waited for about 15 mins after ordering for a seat. The staff inside is very courteous and will answer any questions that you have about their menu. The presentation of their food is very nice, and I really like how they are consistent by using circular plates ; perfect for photos! The food came in good sizes, enough to fill you up. As for the wait time, nothing took too long to arrive; roughly 10 mins or less depending on what you ordered. I’ve been coming to Black Gold Coffee for over a year now. It’s my favourite cafe spot in Scarborough that has real unfiltered coffee beans and the option for Oat Milk. Excellent service; always on point and friendly staff. All foods are made fresh to order. I usually order the blackened chicken sandwich or red quinoa salad with chicken. Today, I got to try their Espresso Glacier and I’m hooked! I ended up ordering two in a row. Blended properly, not watery, perfect consistency, made with real espresso, 4 shots in the large, and no garbage ingredients. The interior and seating area is clean and comfortable too with great sunlight.

Awesome spot for coffee and now gelato! Their affogato is amazing. The espresso shot with their gelato works so beautifully together. The staff is always friendly and super helpful. They have proper signs set up for physical distancing. All the best for this establishment, I hope they stick around for a long time because they deserve it

Tried this place out as it was at the end of a morning running route. They have a nice selection of artisan teas, coffees and pastries. We tried the London Fog tea, hot chocolate and toasted croissant. Loved the London Fog. It had a nice smooth flavour with a nice aroma. It was nice to be able to adjust the sugar level in all drinks. Ambiance is nice and its nice spot to sit and chat with friends or to get some work done. Will surely come back to try some of the other pastries.

Everytime I come here I enjoy whatever I get - food or drink. The lattes here are pure perfection, while the cookies and pastries are sooooo enjoyably rich, just the way I like 'em. Service from the manager and staff is also always good, and the ambiance/decor of this place is beautifully done. I wish I could come by to chill more often, but alas, it's a bit out of the way for me that I reserve a visit for special occasions or whenever I'm in the area. I try to stay in the know with the email notices regularly, and try to make time to stop by if they ever have specials going on.

After seeing all the IG photos I definitely had to try this place house and since it's in Scarborough too. I had the roasted veggie salad and a matcha latte. Both very delish. I really enjoyed the salad. Also the staff is super friendly and even apologize for the little delay since they had a wave of customers come in. I can see why. They also play 80s music which is a big bonus!!!!!! Great place for something sweet and salty.

Delicious beverages and food. Great service and lovely atmosphere. It's nice to have an independent cafe like this in Scarborough. I highly recommend the veggie salad with sweet potatoes feta and arugula and the blueberry caramel fog. So delicious. Just a tad pricey for the beverages.
