HIDDEN GEM!! THE PIES HERE ARE BETTER THAN ANYTHING I'VE EVER HAD! The crust is f%&kin amazing and the toppings taste fresh!! Definitely would recommend order online otherwise you will have to join the wait line in person.
Just tried a slice of pepperoni, I liked how saucy it was, the cheese was also good and just the right amount. The slices are very big. Honestly not amazing though and not sure I would come back for the pizza. Maybe better when you order with more toppings. I would come back to try the panzarotti’s though as I heard they were really good. Bring cash as they don’t take card!
$5 for a double slice is unbeatable in the area. A neighbourhood institution with a nostalgic vibe. Expect to get pepperoni by-the-slice as it's often the only option available.
My actual rating would be 3.5stars: Fresh pizzas with fresh sauce, cheese, toppings and dough done right in front of you with thin crust, no gimmicks and no fancy/gentrified nonsense. Prices here are very reasonable, especially since it’s downtown Toronto with the ongoing inflation. I got the small pizza which the chef was generous to make it slightly bigger than the box meant for it. Yes, if you’re looking for “presentation”, that’s some minus points for the pizza getting slightly folded but for me it’s a bonus as I am here to enjoy the food which I just got rewarded more than what I had paid/expected. I love the crust of the pizza although the sauce and the overall pizza lacked a bit of flavour or ‘kick’ as I would put it. My pizza had onions and green peppers as the toppings, both which could’ve been given a bit more generously but for the price and the freshness of the pizza, I can’t really complain. However, I am looking forward to trying their panzerottis which seemed to be very popular with the clientele at this family-run Pizzeria. I will be back for the panzerottis but for the pizza, it won’t be something that I will go out of my way for but it definitely deserves to be on my list of spots for pizzas when I’m on a budget in downtown Toronto.
The pizza was really tasty! $5 for a massive slice is impressive. Would come back and definitely recommend if you need something cheapRecommended dishesPepperoni Pizza Slice
I received a warm and pleasant greeting from a lovely lady behind the counter. I ordered a pepperoni slice which was very fresh and delicious. I ended up taking a medium pizza home!!! I will definitely visit again
Great pizzas and delicious panzarottis! Probably my favourite pizza spot in Toronto so far. Service is friendly and the place definitely has an old school vibe on the inside. If ordering inside bring cash as they do not take credit/debit. Overall would recommend.
I went to Bitondo's because of Mr. Dave Portnoy's pizza review. Pizza is top 3 of my favorite foods. It's a restaurant that's a little hidden but its well worth it to go there. The lady working there was extremely friendly and the pizza was really good. Its without a doubt top 10 from the places I have tried, maybe even top 5 that's how good it is. I definitely recommend this place. From one pizza lover to another.
The new world of pizza “connaisseurs” may not like this place but I do. Double pepperoni slice with a spicy chicken sandwich and you’re in business. Old style in a new city, I always stop by when I’m in town. Please don’t repair the bench out front, it all makes perfect sense.
I've only had this place once so maybe it was just an off day. I bought pizza by the slice a single slice of pepperoni it was one of the worst pizzas I've had in my life. The crust was too doughy, the cheese was too thick and tasted a little old. The pepperoni was fine. Sauce tasted store bought.Food: 1/5
