Birria Catrina

These are hands down my favorite birria tacos in Toronto. If anyone is wanting to try authentic Mexican street tacos, these ones are definitely it. They are so good tasting, they never disappoint. They’re served with a small birria broth on the side and a couple of salsas. The servings are big enough and they’re not as greasy as one would expect so they is great. The owners are super nice and friendly, they attend the order fast enough if you call or text 20 minutes ahead of picking the order up.

Tried out Birria Tacos for the first time, unfortunately they did not live up to the hype. Meat was cold, only outer layer of the tortilla was slightly warm. The consomé did help with pungent corn taste though. Overall 2.9/10 However aside from that, they were lovely people, and were happy to give advice on what to get. Maybe we can try a different dish in the future. The menu had many options and are Halal.

Cool location! A little confusing with 5+ little Mexican restaurants all packed together. The tacos were delicious! A messy affair with the Birria. If I was to return to this place, even though there are about 5 other restaurants I would go and get this dish again.Recommended dishesBirria Tacos & Birria Ramen

Oh my god once you start eating your tacos you cannot stop. I got the Combo 1 with friends and we ate it outside. It was so good we didn’t even notice it was raining until we finished. The cheese tacos are absolutely amazing and their yellow sauce makes the food 2x better.

The place is very small and there was no dine in area when we went but don’t let that discourage you from getting the BEST birria tacos in the GTA. Honestly just amazing! I had this at Tacofest and I just had to visit the actual spot week after and it just hits different. The best consommé! One of my tacos I had something solid in it which I believe was a bone. Unbelievable could have been a choking hazard for a kid. Please ensure you thoroughly inspect the quality and control of your food before providing to your customers.Food: 3/5

Price is fair for the quantity. Taste is good. ‘though a little bland. Shells were a little inconsistent in texture, inside shell was very soft and outside shell was slightly crispy but almost more chewy than crisp - a little harder to break down in texture. Meat was a little dry, definitely ask for 2 consomes with combo 2 to help moisten texture of meat.

Got their birria tacos and they do not disappoint! It was a little tricky to eat we went to the alley next to the store to eat standing up since no seats and ended up spilling the consumé in the take out box near the end. Really solid Birria tucked at the back of a tight, sweaty mercado in Kensington market. Worth trying too since they're also one of the cheaper options around. The actual meat in Birria tacos won't ever blow you away, but there's still something so perfect about juicy meats, crispy tortillas and a little cheese. Highly doubt their google hours are correct since they barely seemed ready at 11:30

Ordered the Birria Tacos and they were so good! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, definitely decently sized. The meat itself is tender and juicy comparable to pulled pork meat. After reading a few reviews I personally did not have issues with flavor or lack of fillings it was very much stuffed for my order. *Just a note: they're located inside a store with multiple vendors, their specifically located all the way at the back!
