Billings Food Bank

The café is wonderful. However, the baked beans (for example) will be different from one week to the next. The person working behind the counter has a great attitude and is an asset to the facility. Meals are delicious and always served with a smile. This is a great place to have lunch. The food bank itself is not as helpful as one would expect. Food boxes are given once proof of household is shown such as social security cards and proof of address. The food box rarely has meat. Bring your own bags because the food needs to be removed from the actual box and put into grocery sacks. Depending on who is volunteering you may not get milk or items other than canned food. The "box" is intended to supplement meals for 1 full month. This is nearly impossible. There is also a slight stigma in the air. Its difficult to ask for help but at times its made worse by looks of judgment and rudeness. Upper management is going to bring this place down. It has gotten almost unbearable. Donors will think twice due to low moral and ethical standards of the head of the facility. Absolutely unacceptable and an embarrassment to the community.

Long line, long wait, employees didn't even show up after lunch on time, they asked for every bit of paper information you have including everyone's social security cards birth certificates IDs and mail. This place is a f****** joke it doesn't help the needy it made them jump through more hoops

Love the new program where they let u shop like your in a store.

Some of their food is good you got to watch out for their perishables and there and milk most the time it's outdated and spoiled
