I have been a client of theirs for many years because of their combination of an exceptionally well curated collection of menswear and quality of service. I travel internationally and often have positive comments about their clothing here at home and abroad. They are on the front of fashion without being trendy.

I recently purchased a $300 tuxedo shirt at Bill Miles. The store attendant was very helpful and professional. In addition, the store is generous enough to offer complimentary shirt hemming. I left the shirt with the store to be hemmed. Later in the week, I called the store to ask if the hemming includes moving the sleeve plackets. Someone at the store told me that the profit margin on the shirt was not high enough to undertake the work of moving the sleeve plackets (i.e. to properly hem the shirt). The person mentioned that they do not normally move the plackets because the work involved cuts into their profit margin, which, according to the person, is much lower than buying a suit at the store. However, the person mentioned that the store would move the plackets because I specifically requested that they be moved. When I arrived at the store to pick up the shirt, the sleeve plackets were not moved; the shirt buttons were located much closer to the shirt cuff. The frustrating part of this experience is that when I called to ask if moving the plackets were part of hemming the shirt, I mentioned that I would happily pick up the shirt and take it elsewhere if they could not accommodate my request. A very frustrating experience to say the least.
