I love Big Jerk. One of the best Jamaican restaurants you could find in KW. They are located in a industrial/business area. They have not indoor dinning as far as I’m aware, it takeout only. You would have to order online, ubereat, calling is a bit of hit and miss with them not picking up. The price is a little on the high side, but the food is amazing. The price is different when ordering in person via ubereat, the app is marked up by a few dollars. I order there regularly and have tried many different dishes, all amazing.
Been going to BIGJERK for a few years now. First ran into them at their food truck on Victoria Street near the Victoria street market. They serve traditional carribean Jamaican fare and the owner has deep roots in carribean culinary arts coming from a Jamaican family of successful restaurateurs. He smokes his jerk chicken which is a rarity these days. Most jerk joints oven bake their jerk chicken. I’ve ordered everything from the Curried Goat, Curried Chicken, Jerk Chicken uses actual pimento berries for his spice, Oxtail, tried the fried chicken too…. & everything is on point. When I order, he’s always asking me if he can give me samples of new items to try out. I buy bottles of his pepper sauce I make jerk chicken at home & he even gave me some pimento berries & leaves for my next batch. Only passionate carribean food lovers come here for passionately made carribean cuisine.
Best Jamaican food I've ever had. My goodness blows the competition out of the water. I had the jerk chicken. 10 stars... Portions where massive i swear i got a quarter chicken.
Kevin and team catered our brother’s celebration of life event. The food was amazing and him and his team were professional and on time! All smiles and amazing customer service throughout the whole night and kept our guests raving about the food. He served over 100-125 people with no hiccups whatsoever! We would recommend his food and service to all! Thank you Kevin and team for making our night a success! Your food is top notch!
Oh my god - it was so damn good! The owners are so sweet and we are so lucky to have stumbled upon this jerk chicken joint. The jerk chicken is sooo tasty and we munched on the patties on our drive back home before devouring the delicious jerk chicken at home! Not to mention the generous portions. Will absolutely be back!
Ordered a jerk chicken, a jerk pork, and 2 spicy beef patties and everything was delicious! The owner was super sweet as well and threw in a mango cheesecake. Definitely a 10/10 must visit if you're craving jerk chicken in the Waterloo area. Will be recommending to my friends!
Great food. Awesome flavour. The portions are LARGE and 2 could easily split them. We spoke with Kevin, and you can see his pride in his creations. He is truly a gentleman. Support this local hidden gem !

Ladies and Gentlemen if you’re looking for that authentic impeccable Carribean cuisine look no further than Big Jerk! Portion sizes are great And the Jerk chicken was exquisitely flavourful, placing another order as I type this!
I'm from out of town but I picked up food for a birthday party. It was great meeting the team, very friendly service and the food was amazing! Between myself and a couple other people, we ate the jerk pork on our own and didn't leave any for the others...lol. The catered cuisine was amazing overall and there was not much leftovers since everyone took a plate or two home. Great job Big Jerk team - I'll be coming back to try out those patties! :
