Better Bakes and Eats

Best bakery ever and almost all breads and even some cookies are vegan making it even better! Sometimes the bread is too fresh to have it sliced there but that is perfectly fine; means I will slice it at home. Cannot recommend it more!

Just recently moved to Lonsdale and love this place. Everything is fresh and delicious and the owner/operator is the sweetest lady. Her husband does all the baking, arriving at 4am everyday. A real bakery selling real food. I go there several times a week as we are lucky to have them in our neighbourhood and I love supporting small local businesses like this one.

Definitely give their breads a try! They have a good variety of various type breads, you won't leave unsatisfied and you'd be back again for sure! I'm not gonna lie, I don't go there every day but a few times a month for sure!

Amazing Bakery! A hidden Gem.. . I had googled “coconut cake” and this place came up. When I called and she told me it was Mango/coconut cake, I was super excited! The cake was everything and more as this is my hubby’s favorite and it certainly delivered. I also picked up a loaf of whole grain bread just because when I touched it, it was the softest bread I’ve ever felt! So fresh and lasted this way for 3 days! I think they use magic in their baking…it’s too good to be true..

My partner and I love to frequent this bakery as it’s easily the best in town for their freshly baked bread and pastries. The store owner is so welcoming and friendly, it’s honestly difficult to go into this place without leaving with a handful of goods! Their loaves stay fresh longer than COBS and it’s affordable too. Can’t recommend it enough :

Here is a prime example of your moms fresh baking.These two are the kindest people one will come across.The prices are economical.The sandwiches are phenomenal.That $5 bill plus some nickels and dimes fills your palate with healthy ham and wonderful cheese.Thats my choice , you may desire something else.Selection ,oh yes.The old school bakery and delicatessen lives on .Seriously pick up a six inch sub and you can head across the street to the RCMP detachment and fell like you have gone to heaven.Close your eyes and listing to the sounds a waterfall makes.There are plenty of benches and the RCMP are so welcoming .Consider a donation and you may reserve a space for a plaque on the bench .The Mom and Pop homestyle down to earth goodness lives on .I used to eat there daily and still do on occasion .Fat am I .

The Sausage Roll Cabinet is why you need to check this place out. One of the best bakeries in North Vancouver. Easily. Everything I've bought from these guys has been great. The store itself is charming, the occasional loaf of artichoke cheese bread is mouthwatering. The counter staff are extroverted and friendly. They're usually playing music on the stereo. You can tell it's also a working bakery and not just a storefront with things made off-site. You can see right into the back where the magic happens. What I'm writing this for though, is they have a little warming cabinet in the back that's constantly stocked with fresh sausage rolls, and usually lots of variations too. Chicken, Pork, Beef, sometimes empanadas too. This is where you wanna go if you're searching high and low for sausage rolls. You won't be disappointed! I'd hit these guys more often for a big mountain of them if they healthier for you. :

This is a wonderful hidden gem in North Vancouver. I'm not over there very often but pop by every time I am. I suggest the hot vegetable rolls, the Italian loaf and any of the wonderful and fresh finds near checkout. The woman who works here owner I think is an absolute doll. This place is very deserving of local support. Go today!!

The owners are just the loviest to chat to and I was always greeted with the most heartwarming smile. The bakery offers a great range of home made breads that are not only just delightful to have in the morning, but are also offered at a very friendly price. I visit weekly during my work commute and stopping by every time adds so much to a dreadful work day.

My favourite bakery in the North Shore. Top tier. I LOVE their pies! Honestly one of the best apple pies I have ever had! 100% recommend.
