Reviews
I read the reviews and booked anyway. To say this place is dated is an under statement. It felt like the place needs to be torn down. The key cards regularly didn't work at different locations and doors. No towels at the pool. The hottub was so low it barely filtered. The weight machine is broken. The sauna is broken. The drapes were full of holes. The sliding glass door was at once double paned but must have broken and wasn't repaired so there is just raw glass around the rim.nnHowever the staff was nice and the beds were comfy. The location is also great. It was awesome to be able to walk right out to beach and nice to walk over to bridge stores.nnNot worth the $350 we paid!
I have wanted to stay here for years. What a beautiful view and it looked so nice. outside trash cans were full.security door was broke. We checked in room was dated and not too clean I dusted my own room. That’s bad. The balcony I had so looked forward to was next to a main air conditioner and my loud air conditioner so we couldn’t sit outside. Air in the room was ridiculous loud. The topper was this morning the shower is either hot or cold to regulate it I had to put it at a trickle. I was so disappointed and the price was ridiculous.
Online this hotel looks very good, that's the rooms are very cramped. For $450 this room was horrible. The mattresses are old and saggy. There was no quality in that. The bedroom was small and cramped. The sliding door squeaked and sounded like the rollers, had been gone for about five years. There was no screen on the door so you couldn't open the sliding door. The AC unit was loud and kept kicking off and on the entire night would not maintain a steady temperature. No matter what setting you, put it on. When taking a shower, the hot water fluctuates all over the place from hot to cold. It's a medium in between about every 10 or 15 seconds. The plumbing is horrible. The water is chlorinated heavily. Basically, we will never stay there again.
If I could give zero stars, I would. We paid $365 for one night including a bogus $42 “resort fee” for two Queens and this place was nothing but a filthy, outdated dump. Dirt on the shower walls, a dirty hotel towel left on our patio, a broken phone with the wrong room number on it, rock-hard spring mattresses that left us unable to sleep & gave us severe back pain, dirty Kurig, and a loud A/C that made it impossible to sleep.nnWorst of all, the shower was dangerous—the water wouldn’t regulate and kept surging scalding hot, burning our son. Completely unacceptable and unsafe.nnOn top of that, hallways were hotter/humid than outside, and NO elevators. You have to drag your luggage down two flights of narrow stairs just to get to a “ground-floor” room.nnThe only positives were polite front desk staff and beach access, but that doesn’t even come close to making up for how bad this overpriced place is.nnThis is nothing but a run-down, overpriced dump pretending to be a resort. Motel 6 would have been cleaner, safer, and far more comfortable. Do not recommend. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
This hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. If I had read the google reviews before I booked I never would have.... Especially for nearly $300 a night.... Our first room the heater did not work properly, the shower head was falling off, the furniture was banged up & old, the mini fridge was not cold, the lamp on the desk was falling apart & the beds were uncomfortable. When I called the front desk about the heater the gal was rude. She showed up w/ a portable heater in tow so she obviously knew the heater was a problem. We ended up moving to a different room that wasn't in quite as bad of shape, but still not great by any stretch of the imagination..... No elevator in a 3 story bldg, no vending or ice machines anywhere but the 1st floor, all walls were in desperate need of fresh paint. I read somewhere that the owner is planning to tear it down so has no plans to do any upgrades. I don't know if restaurant is even operating & wasn't about to find out.... The lake front location was the only good part & was the reason I booked there in the first place. Was trying to get some respite from cancer treatment......
