Berkshire General Store offers food, candy, chips , fresh baked goods, .99 cent coffee and soft drinks. Also Giffords Ice Cream a wide array of daily convenience items, tobacco products,Ecigs, local items including 100% natural soy wax candles by ScenZ , gifts, toys, a huge selection of greeting cards and Mass lottery. Jim and Joe plan to grow the offerings of local artists and crafters as well as offering a large selection of Cds by local musicians and books by local authors. If you are a local artist, crafter, author or musician, Jim and Joe would love to see you!

Clean and very friendly atmosphere, bug convenience means rather high prices. Interesting variety of items in a small area. Didn't try the deli but Boar's Head products are generally great.

I have to agree with John M.'s review-I work close by and have ordered lunch there on several occasions (I go there because it is the only place to find the sandwich I like) and I too feel as if I am bothering the owner when I place my order. I order the same thing each time, however, the last couple of times the baguette bread was so hard and stale there was no possible way to bite into it. She had to know this while making it and yet had no problem serving it, I was actually shocked as it was totally inedible. But no worries I won't bother her anymore, I will order from one of the many other places close by that are actually happy when a customer walks through the door.

Went in for a tea, a regular tea, made it myself just like at any store. I was charged $2.30. The woman in charge seemed too busy to even answer how much a tea would be and was seemed bothered to have a customer. The worker was polite. This store has a new owner.
