Save yourself money and unnecessary stress and deal with a different brokerage. I have been a customer of Beneficial insurance for many years. My broker Kent was always a pleasure to deal with and have never had any issues or concerns. I was recently informed that Kent no longer works for Beneficial and my file was given to a new broker. Upon my renewal, I requested a vehicle to be removed from my policy as it was no being used. Whatever was entered by the broker ended up causing a rate increase. I was informed by Gary that it had to do with an accident that was caused by my wife years earlier. I had a hard time believing this and asked him to contact Aviva for an explanation of why the rate increase is happening years after the fact. Gary once again called me and informed me that it had nothing to do with the accident, and that it was a clerical error that was made by my previous broker. I told him that is good news, and that the rate increase should be covered by his brokerage under their errors and omissions insurance. He then stated that he would back-charge me for all the prior years of the rate increases which is illegal. I have escalated the situation to both Aviva and Alberta insurance ombudsman for a proper review of my file. There are many honest and transparent brokerages that will be happy to take your business. Don't waste your time with this brokerage. They will do nothing to retain your business and have no appreciation for it either.

I have been with Beneficial since they were Bencharski Insurance, and my original policy was written up by Arnie Bencharski himself back in 1990. I have ALWAYS had quick, positive service from this company.
Preetpal Singh at Beneficial Insurance is very knowledgable and professional. He has helped me out for my doubts related to insurance. Highly recommend him for his excellent service!
Do not use this broker! They do not return phone calls. I made full payment toward my policy 2 weeks ago and called them to ensure they knew that same day. Had to leave a message. I figured averything was fine. This morning I received a message threatening to cancel my policy if payment is not made. What??? Obviously extremely concerned, I tried to contact them by phone several times over the course of 4 hours. NO ONE ANSWERS. Again left a message. After not hearing from them I decided to go down to the office to talk to them in person. Travelled by car to the address listed on their website and apparently they don't exist! No signage, nothing! Finally, I decided to bypass the broker and go straight to the insurance company. Found out my payment was indeed received on the date mentioned. I have given this Beneficial too many chances-definitely switching. It should never be this hard to contact your broker. What are they there for if you can't reach them when you need to?
This is by far the best insurance company i have dealt with, my broker's name Best broker in the CITY is Brent Lariviere and honestly Brent is the man, he helped me a lot not only with my insurance policy but even understanding how everything works, he is very good at what he does, good attitude, respectful and he works very quick. I would highly recommend anyone to him no question about it. His work ethics is clean AF!
