Was referred to this shop by a family member. I needed to get shoulder pads removed from my new Zara coat. Went in and I'm guessing the senior Asian man was the owner. Anyway, I let him know what I'd like to get done and was pleasantly surprised that he offered to work on my coat right away. That's priority service! I decided to come back next day and pick up as I had to get to an appt. I highly recommend going to this tailor for all of your tailoring needs. Have a lot of respect for someone his age to still be working doing what he's skilled at. I much prefer to support an independent hard working individual such as this owner than a franchise business.
After referring to all the mixed reviews I still decided to give this tailor shop a chance. Tell you what?? He’s actually the sweetest tailor I’ve come across. Moreover, he hemmed three of my pants within few minutes. It was like magic! I highly recommend visiting. :
My son's winter jacket zipper slider came off and was lost. I brought the jacket into Ben's. He removed the zipper from the jacket and sewed on a new zipper using double stitching very strong. Two day turnaround, and very reasonable. Just don't get discouraged when you first enter the shop and see the mess. Definitely recommended!Service: Clothing repairs
Poor workmanship. Obviously, very little skill and attention to the repairs. Unfortunately, didn't have time to check when I picked up. The new zipper isn't even attached fully to the bag, leaving a large uncloseable opening. I'm surprised there are such positive reviews one here. Suspect they're fakes. Anyway, I'm out the cost now and don't have time to make the trip back.
Brought in my daughter's dress as a flower girl, to have it altered as it was too big for her. When it was done it fit her perfectly. I had my reservation at first as the quote given was fairly cheap. Since I was happy with that result and price I brought in my snowboard pants to be shortened 3 months later. I couldn't find any snowboard pants of the same quality Patagonia $300 but shorter in seam, I looked for awhile, that I just decided to get it hemmed at this place. I couldn't be happier with the results. And it was done just in time for my trip up to the mountains. My experiences so far, has been great at this and his pricing is way lower than any othe places that I've used in the past.
I called in to check how much he will charge for shirt alternation for comparison with other tailors as this time everything is expensive. He answered the phone, "Hello, what do you want?! You come to my store". He seems pretty upset coz I bothered him. I don't know if he charges cheap but I don't care anymore. I just don't want to get a service from him.
This guy has been around as far back as I can remember. I took in a jacket for a zipper repair today, 5 bucks and 5 minutes. Great deal and good service! His English is not that great as I tried to explain and he said let me see and gave me the price. The store is the very same as it was when I was a kid.
Fast, cheap, sweetest man! Would def come here for basic tailoring and repairs.
It was the worst nightmare with Mr Kwan tailor. He examined the collar and advised to change the entire stained white collar with new white cotton. Picked up a week later and to my horror, the new white collar is replaced with aged old yellowish white with a burnt mark, wrinkled [glued]. A lesson learnt for $15 - never returned.
