About

Farm, Restaurant,Store and Distillery

Mission

Our goal is to grow the best apples in Whatcom County. We are a Salmon Safe and Food Alliance farm.

Products

We invite you to come out and see the farm. You will learn how we grow our fruit, pack it, store it and juice it! We also have pears, pumpkins, sweet corn, pickling cucumbers and much more. Our farm is open year round. We are just 10 minutes from Bellingham, Ferndale and Lynden.

BelleWood Cider
The nectar from the apples is a gift from Mother Nature. Fresh apples make the best cider. Our cider is treated with UV light (ultra violet light) to control harmful bacteria. We provide what you deserve; a high quality juice, safe for the entire family.

Apples
We have twenty apple varieties to delight the most discerning palates. From the early varieties, to the last ones picked, we harvest at the peak of flavor. Come and taste the difference freshness makes. Sample and compare.

Country Cafe
Now Serving Breakfast! Our country cafe features wholesome breakfast and lunch options to include homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, delicious treats, apple cider donuts, fruit/cheese plates, espresso and ciders on tap.

Artisan Distillery
Our spirits are hand crafted in small batches from the finest farm products Washington has to offer. From the orchard at BelleWood, to locally grown berries from our neighbors, to the fine grains of Washington, premium quality products in our stills means premium quality in your glass.

In time our product line will include:

Vodkas
Gin
Eau de Vie
Liqueurs
Brandy
Whiskey
Pommeau
Ciders

Our farm-based distilling process allows us to control every step of the process, beginning with growing the ingredients that will be used. Our two stills, handmade by Vendome Copper and Brass Works in Kentucky, are world class and bring to us a history of spirit making. The liquor is blended to perfection, aged as needed and bottled all right here at BelleWood Acres.

Be sure to sign up for a tour to learn the process from growing to fermenting, to distilling, to enjoying. We hope the experience will encourage you to purchase and share our spirits with family and friends.

My family loves BelleWood Acres! We've been here for seasonal events and that's always fun, but also stop in regularly at other times of year. The apples and baked goods are delicious, but they also have a really nice shop that sells a wide range of gifts along with home decor items and some specialty foods (condiments, smoked salmon, etc.) And seasonal gifts. Upstairs they have local art. There's also the distillery and a cafe. All in all it's a fun spot to stop and check out or to bring out-of-town guests.

BelleWood Acres consistently has some of the best apples west of the Cascades. Eat some delicious apple cider donuts while walking out to pick huge Honeycrisps or you can get a $4/person tractor ride out to the orchard. There's a moderately sized pumpkin patch with pre-cut stems, corn maze, and corn cob cannons for the kids. Well run, clean, market area and bathroom facilities. Dogs allowed in most areas except the orchards, maze, and pumpkin patch.

Beautiful farm, lots of fun. Love picking apples, getting pumpkins, and of course tastings from their distillery is a must. Heads up, I wouldn’t bring your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the pumpkin patch, in the orchards, or inside, or on the paved areas.

I'll cut to the chase, I was unimpressed. The place was very busy but it seemed like all the staff were grumpy and took it out on their guests. No one was smiling, just very cold. In the distillery my friends waited standing next to counter to try the alcohol for about five mins and then the guy named Preston said they snuck up on him. He poured the same drink for them to try three times and was just very short with us. I feel like if you're going to put on such a big event and it be this heavily advertised I'd expect you to be prepared. Have more staff if the others are overwhelmed. I doubt we'll come back.

Love this place! Pumpkins, apples, Christmas trees! It's a great place to take the family for it all.
