Very impressed with my experience and the room. Anything with the name "motel" creeps me out because you never know what you are going to get, especially with never being here and traveling alone. Room was cute and clean. Staff was great since I checked in after the office closed. They were also very friendly when checking out the next morning. Only about a 15 minute drive to Bar Harbor, which wasn't bad at all. Yes, the rooms are small but it was just for me and only a place to shower and sleep.

Clean, maintained, with exceptional staff. We stayed here in July for a long weekend to visit Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We were looking for an affordable, clean room near the park. Bell Isle Motel exceeded our expectations in many ways. The room was small, but clean and maintained. The pool water was sparkling clean, and heated to a comfortable 76 degrees. The grounds were well maintained with a woods area in the back to walk dogs, or just explore. Every night there was a campfire to relax to and meet your neighbors. We will defiantly be back for future visits. The location is perfect, just a couple of miles from the park entrance, and another mile to cottage street.

There's probably no better value for the price on Mt. Desert Island. This motel is clean and comfortable. The location is ideal if you'd like to have good access to Acadia without the tourist crowds and high room rates of Bar Harbor. I would definitely stay here again.

We were visiting Cadillac Mountain in July. Party of 10 booked 5 rooms months ago. We realized that we had booked the rooms for wrong date only when showed up to check-in! The receptionist (owner's sister-in-law) Benita was very understanding and helpful. She booked us another place to stay not too far from this location. It wasn't easy to find 5 rooms in July! I must recommend both Benita and the owner's pleasant nature and helpfulness. They even worked out the cancellation process with expedia! You made our vacation extra special!

For the price I was expecting worse but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are bright and clean, as were the linens and towels . Staff was accomidating and friendly. There wasn't a musty smell that some motels may have. I didn't find any bed bugs which I am always cautious about. Things what could be improved are insulating the walls better as they are a bit thin and you can hear your neighbors. The bathroom window is a bit revealing as the curtains are thin and a bit small, tv may be small for some. Overall we would stay again due to price
