Avoid this doctor’s office. I was referred from the ER to see Dr Mikhail and when I got there they didn’t have my appointment. I tried to call to confirm it but they are so unorganized that their voicemail says they will get back to you in two business days. The staff there were lovely. Not their fault they are unorganized. That’s the doctors fault. When I spent 2 hours waiting I complained about the wait. They said it’s normal to wait this long. Apparently, appointments mean nothing. When I actually got to see the doctor he didn’t understand why I was there and kept on asking me. At one point I wanted to say “if I was a doctor I would give you that answer, but I’m not and that’s why I am here”. Anyways, avoid this office. My tax dollars should not be paying this doctor who does not have a good bed side manner and an unorganized practice.
Early morning appointments are scheduled so that they can fill the office with more patients than can fit in the building over an hour before the doctor arrives so everyone gets checked in and then sits and waits. And waits. And waits. And if you're lucky you get to wait inside! Nurses and staff do their best but the overall approach is just ridiculous and a terrible patient experience.
Dr. Baziuk is a professional who is doing her best to see as many people as she possibly can. There is a shortage of doctors that do what she does so the method she has set up allows her to see as many people as she possibly can. People who complain about wait times should be thankful they are even being seen. Dr. Baziuk is a superhero that should be praised for the work she is doing to help people maintain their eyesight. Yes there is a wait time so pack your patience. Ask if you can leave after the initial check and come back a few hours later.
Unbelievable wait times! 41/2 hours?! That’s ridiculous. This isn’t a hospital for emergencies. Making 80 year olds wait for that long is abuse, knowing they are desperate. The staff are great, can’t take it out on them they are only doing there jobs. But the doctor over booking to this degree is disrespectful. If your doctor refers you to this clinic, do yourself a favour and ask for another clinic.
This clinic is a very very busy clinic whose Doctors and staff works so hard to deliver an excellent and satisfactory service to their patients. My sincere thanks to Dr. Mikael for my surgery… Linda for all her coordination efforts, all the hardworking staff at their Brock St. Clinic and nurses at Bowmanville Hospital. Again, my sincere thanks and wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas and holiday season.
I'm a volunteer driver and I've driven people to this clinic for years. The doctor has no respect for the patients or the people bringing them here. It looks like it's completely overbooked meaning people are either crammed into the small waiting area, or outside of the weather is decent. Most of the patients are old and many have mobility problems. Appointments that are supposed be no more than 3 hours are regularly longer. Tonight was 5.5 hours. Insane
A 5 hour wait is beyond acceptable. There is an overcrowded waiting room full of elderly sitting anywhere they can. Disgusted by this treatment. Drivers have to stay and wait outside for them so don't plan anything that day.
Not even a 1 star rating. An 11 am appointment and still here at 1:25 pm. Service is slow. Overbooking and no capacity to service within a decent time. Never coming back.
This clinic is a dud. I was referred to Dr. Mikhail last summer. I need injections in my eye every 6 weeks to maintain vision. I was referred by my Ophthalmologist in the hopes that I would get another opinion as to best course of care. i lost continuity of care, as I waited almost 4 months without a call from Dr. Mikhail. I called his office and my referring Doctor on multiple occasions, and was passed back and forth. By the time I could see Dr. Baziuk because Mikhail was MIA, I could no longer read, and could have suffered permanent damage to my eyes. Dr. Baziuk saw me after I had travelled 90 minutes each way, and spent 6 hours waiting in their tiny little waiting room that only seats 5 people. The buzzer I was issued was numbered 17. Many patients were forced to wait in their cars in the hopes they may soon win the lottery. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and chalked it up to a daily SNAFU, in the hopes that my next visit may be more efficient. WRONG!! I was there again today for an appointment at 10:40. By 1:00, still no Doctor. I informed the receptionist that I had another appointment closer to home 90 minutes away and left. Untreated. Unacceptable on so many levels. There is zero organization at this clinic, zero respect for the patient, and zero respect for our time. For all the time these Doctors spent at school, they never learned how to read a wrist watch, or organize a calendar. So sad...
Genuinely the worst doctor around. 4/5 hour waiting times are the norm and the receptionist has the WORST attitude. She says hours long wait time is normal for specialists but it’s really not.
