I purchased a new set of skis online and needed them fitted with the bindings in a hurry so I could use them the following day. I also desperately needed my husband’s old, rusty skis tuned up. Mark at the service shop Sportchek Bayshore was fantastic. He was so knowledgable and helpful. I really appreciated them fitting me in last minute and doing such great work!
So, Sport Chek and the people working there are awesome. Some weeks ago I ordered a hoodie, and they informed me I should expect it 3-4 working days later. No problem so far. However, in my opinion they have a very bad partner who handles their package deliveries. Their name "TForce logistics". I had a horrible time talking with their customer service and because my package wasn't delivered they refused to resend it again. So, I told TForce logistics I am not going to their location to pick up the hoodie I paid 96.04 CAN, and spend another 15-20 dollars on Uber or wait for the bus. And I decided to take action. I called Sport Chek and they were extremely helpful. They listened to my concerns and my frustrations in dealing with TForce logistics, and they gave me a refund and next time if I want to order something from them, ask my Sport Chek local store whether I can order the product I want and go pick it from my local Sport Chek store aka Bayshore. I genuinely think based on my experience with them that they are an awesome store. I totally recommend them, and when some products have discounts, it usually is a very good deal. Please keep improving, and my advice for you would be to remove TForce logistics as partner, because they might be a reason some people might give you bad reviews. Oh! And please bring more European football merchandise. Thank you!
This is the worst location and worst experience for me to deal with that franchise with sport check at Bayshore mall. The supervisor his name is Matt he was not helpful at all and even he didn’t listen to me. I tried to return shoes I just bought last week and he told me I have the choice to say no and I refuse to return it with a very aggressive attitude and he kept showing me things that’s are not there at the shoes. I kept telling him it was not worn outside the house, but he didn’t even listen to me and understand. Before I leave I told him I will do complain and he said my name is Matt in a rude way, I used to go to sport check and buy many expensive things but after what happens today. I will never go this store again or buy anything from sport check anymore.
Never use this location for a sharpening - I used them today out of convenience and as I went to play hockey - I noticed I had no edges and fell immediately - the kid told me they were so sharp he almost cut himself so I didn’t check them. Never use this location for a sharpening -
I don’t know why I don’t just go here in the first place! Frugal me tries to save a buck and I end up having to return things and always end up here anyway! The price difference isn’t bad and the quality difference is huge. Sport Chek is my go to for all my kids footwear and seasonal clothes
I drove across the city today to enjoy the amazing Bayshore food court, but what do I find in its place? A Sport Chek. Now the food court has been moved back to the old location where there is no seating and less options. Disgusting.
Each time I go at this Sport Chek there is always at least a 5 minutes usually more line up at the checkout. Lots of staff on the floor for help but not enough at the checkout. Line up could be reduce if you could pay at the Pro Shop directly for article brought for repair. **Very cheap place to sharpen your skate though 6$ a pair
A very large store with a large variety of products no matter the sport you're playing. They have decent sales and a lot of surprise items you may not expect.
Ordered 2 items online for an instore pickup. Both items said they were available. Moments after I placed the order, I got an email saying one of the items was cancelled and not available. I went to cancel the other item, because I didn't want to drive all the way out there for a supplemental item, but I am not able to cancel an order online. I phoned online customer service and was told I had to call the store to cancel the item and have it refunded. The store then told me I have to do it through the online service. Called the on line service back and was then told they have no way of cancelling my order besides me waiting 10 days for the order to expire then another 10-20 days to get my card refunded. None of this makes any sense to me, how does the online customer service, or the store itself not have any way to refund my money. Beware, do not order from the store online unless you want you money tied up for a month. Absolutely ridiculous.
Never bring your bike in for service. I specifically asked for seat to either not be moved or marked & put in exact position because of wrist injuries sustained from bike technician not putting in proper place last time. They did not & said they never do. That is insane! Seat position is extremely important. Older guy said he'll just move it, younger guy said since my feet touch, it's fine. I explained I paid for a bike fitting year before & neither of these responses were good customer service or good bike fitting. Thank you to the manager Matt who apologized & did not charge me but I'm now going to have to get redone. Thank you to the young, tall gentleman who stayed late to take my bike, put in the info about seat, & stayed late again tonight to explain. Still can't believe this - they do not know how to do bike tune ups.
