Lack of professionalism, lack of courtesy. Lack of general hospitality industry customer service. 

Owner of the hotel was checking me in and answered his personal line mid conversation, delaying the process. 

Hotel is unwelcoming and dated. The room smells musty/muggy as soon as you open the door. 

Bathroom is tiny and hasn't been deep cleaned in some time. Beds are old and uncomfortable. And the walls are incredibly thin as I heard my neighbors tv word-for-word until almost 4 a.m.

I'm in hotels all over Washington 3-4 nights a week. This has by far been the worst hotel I've stayed at. 10/10 will never book this hotel for myself or suggest it to my least favorite person.

I was told that my support dog and I could stay for the night. Later in the evening a second employee came in and saw me as I was outside smoking, walking my dog. When I came in, he asked if my dog was a service dog. I told him, he's not a service dog, he's a certified support dog. He told me we had to go. No big deal. What was a big deal was they kept my money for the night. $55 for 2 hours? You'd be better taking your business elsewhere, before they try something like this to you.

I stay here every time I visit my daughter at WWU. The Bay City motel offers basic, clean overnight accommodation with a free breakfast included. It's conveniently located, the staff is very friendly. For the price I give it 5 stars.

I got a great deal on this place, and that's usually what matters most.  I think too many people give bad reviews to cheap places without thinking about how it wouldn't be so cheap if it were better, and it was their choice to stay at the cheapest place. There aren't bed bugs and isn't noisy and that's all I really care about.  The furnishings were pretty old, but everything worked and wasn't gross, and it was nice that there was a mini fridge and microwave.  Their fitness room also has a pool table which I thought was kind of a funny feature haha. There is a grocery store and three pharmacies, several fast food restaurants and every other type of restaurant and shop within a quarter mile, and if there's something else you want you're only half a mile away from downtown and other shopping centers as well as Western Washington University. Their free breakfast had de-shelled hard boiled eggs rather than the fake scrambled kind which I was happy to discover.  There was also a waffle machine and the other standard items like cereals, oranges and bananas plus fruit juices and coffee.  The staff was also friendly and helpful. If you want the nicest rooms, ask for the first floor - the staff told me that those are the only ones that are fully stocked and renovated with new beds, furniture etc.

Many Years ago, my Partner and I Framed this Motel with the help of a lot of good friends. It has gone through many years of questionable service. I recently received a tour of the remodeled establishment, to my surprise, It has been gone through from top to bottom and the new owners have turned it in to the Best place to stay on the South End of Town.
