Nice family style retro restaurant, big portions. We got the Balkan platter, the menu says there are six kinds of meat in it, but other than the bacon, everything taste similar. My favourite is the dessert creampita, has a nice texture and not too sweet.
The food was very tasty and generous portions for a lunch menu. For $16 I got schnitzel, a heaping portion of mashed potatoes, side Greek salad, a cup of broccoli soup and two dinner rolls. Parking is limited.Food: 5/5
The best tripe soup I've had in years. I can taste that it's a slow cook, taking hours to break down the beef tripe and making a silky and rich broth tons of collagen! YOU GOT TO TRY IT! Don't be afraid of offal-- this'll change your mind! The rolled schnitzel looks dark on the outside when it arrived at the table but cutting into it, it was cooked nicely. Tons of flavour, loads of creamy sauce / mayo on top. Nice amount of melted cheese in the middle Also had the cevapi with bread served with dice onion and avjar Let me tell you --- those little sausage are absolute perfection. A little fatty, tons of spice and flavour, and just a little char from grilling on the stove.
The best place ever for our holiday occasion with friends and family. The food is great. My favourite menu is Balkan Platter- 6 assorted meats . Great flavour. So good, and I would love to recommend everybody to try if you love to have a party this place is a wonderful place for you to enjoy your meal..
We visited this restaurant by our friends' recommendation and ordered the Balkan platter which included meat patties, sausages, bacon, shish kebab, and smoked pork neck. Get ready to be fed! Amazing value for the amount of food you get. The salads were refreshing. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try any desserts as we were STUFFED after the meal. Definitely will go back!
Really delicious!!!! Tasted like your mom cooked it and amazing flavors and portions! The booths are so big and comfy too highly recommend
The food was good the price was right. The drinks were not that good. Server was very nice. Place seems little dated and dark. Could use a good make over. I'll be going back though the meat plater was tasty.
love this place. I have been going here for years with my family and the food is always top tier. it’s quite a distance from the house but we don’t mind as the experience of going to Balkan House is worth the drive even with these crazy high gas prices!
Nice place, $22 for my meal by myself. Minus the wine. Nice atmosphere and staff. I am glad I stopped to try Balkan House out! There was a lot more menu items that I wanted to try and will come to try them all.
First time here. As a meat lover, I LOVE the large portion of food! The veal tastes fantastic! Great value and customer service. Definitely recommend it!Food: 5/5
