Will surely come back and eat again here soon. Feels so homey and cozy to dine here though it’s small space. We had the chicken and the beef Shawarma, they’re good and tasty.Baklava is love. Will try their other food one time again.
The portions are very huge. The taste is also good. If you pick wraps, don’t forget to have them toasted. I asked for the hot sauce but I wish I hadn’t. It was so hot! It overshadows other tastes. We also bought a falafel wrap which I don’t suggest. I’ve had way better falafels.
Everything about Golden Pita Restaurant is extraordinary, delicious and professional. The way they greet you makes you feel important and perfectly cared for. The decor immerses you into an exotic mesmerizing aesthetic which adds to the pleasant experiences of patrons. The calming voice of Morvarid and the professionalism of Fardad turns a hectic life into a calming one. Finally, and most importantly, the food they create is a true masterpiece- delicious, beautiful, and aromatic. Highly recommended!
My husband wanted to try the new Shiok Express stall that had recently opened up in the Lougheed mall food court, so we went to have lunch there together. The menu at Shiok Express is limited and heavy on meat, which doesn't work so well for me as I'm Pescatarian. Consequently, we made a stop at Golden Pita just outside Lougheed Mall so that I could grab something there for my lunch while my husband would eat food from Shiok Express. It's a small restaurant but there are a few tables there if you'd like to sit and eat there. They've got one of those things that stands upright and rotates while holding a big chunk of meat on it. That's something I used to enjoy back when I was a meat eater. It definitely caught my husband's eye. If he hadn't already been set on eat at Shiok Express that day, I think he would have ordered some kind of meat dish from Golden Pita, so he could have the meat carved freshly from that rotating thingy...I really need to figure out the proper word for that thingy! I ordered the Vegan Special which came with 3 pieces of falafel, a spinach pie, stuffed grape leaf, tabbouleh salad, rice, pita bread and hummus and tahini dips. This was a wonderful meal and I highly recommend it. Even the rice was tasty. This one order gives you so much variety. The only thing I didn't like was the tabbouleh salad. There was too much parsley in this salad. Everything else was delicious and I really hope to go back there again sometime! Service: Fair Parking: Plentiful and free. Location: Convenient. Lots of shops and places to eat both at Lougheed Mall and in the surrounding area.
I’ve been coming here since 2007. The chicken rocket is amazing and is worth every penny. Sadly I ate it before I thought to take a picture. The sampler appetizer is solid and has so many wonderful flavours. Fantastic hidden gem.
Had a beef donair, chicken shawarma platter and got to try a few appetizers. Everything was delicious, especially the grilled beef donair. The hot sauce was also on point, they should bottle it up and sell it! Owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. I will be back again when i'm in the area
simply amazing... authentic lebanese cuisine prepared by the owners themselves. homemade cooking at its best. owner lady was kind enough to guide me as this was my first time trying lebanese food. she was generous to give a refill on hummus which was greatly appreciated unfortunately, i was too full to keep going fresh salad and succulent lamb kabab with steamy hot rice. couldnt be better. will return for more food! thank you :
Honestly the best food I've had in a while. If I could give 6 stars I would. I don't usually leave reviews but it feels necessary here, this was such a good meal. And it's not expensive at all - total cost before tip was about 14 bucks for a wrap, a small soup, and a soda. The moud wrap is amazing - incredibly filling and even the regular size is big. The lentil soup is also very filling. Definitely would recommend both of these. Very nice staff. Will be returning shortly!
Used to owned by Lebanese. Now owned by a Persian guy. Food is unfortunately not the same. Chicken wow pockets used to be my absolute favorite. Unfortunately now they are way to full of pepper and have no olive oil. However, portions were good. Maybe I would try one more time.
Chicken Shawarma sandwich is ok, bonus point for grilling the bread, but it's missing some tanginess and a few more picked turnip. Must be noted, that it's now under new management.
