Back East BBQ

YUM! Our family is vegetarian, and we visited Danielle's at Wander Brewing. We tried all the vegetarian things, and we were VERY impressed. Hot and crunchy fried eggplant 'wings' with a flavorful slightly spice dipping sauce, mac & cheese topped with eggplant wings, and the chef's special roasted veggie risotto. Oh, I just realized we didn't try everything, we missed the "plate" configuration with two sides - we'll have to get that one next time. And we arrived too late to try the brunch. There was at least one vegan option available. Staff were very friendly, witty we had a nice chat about the lost art of talking on the phone and efficient in taking our order and delivering our meal to the table. We plan to make Danielle's a regular stop on the dinner rotation. Oh and Wander Brewing had a really good selection of seating both inside and out heated, but open-air as it should be and a great selection of beers for our tastes. We're not IPA fans. Vegetarian options: Great!

They catered my cousin's wedding and it was 10/10. They lady was super nice and worked her tail off from the second she showed up to the second she left. The food was fantastic! The brisket was especially good. And the pasta salad. And it was the hush puppies. Cannot recommend enough

The BEST BBQ I've had in WA state, and as good as the best BBQ I've had down southeast where I'm from. These guys are truly BBQ masters.

Danielle and Co. will leave you and your guests with stuffed bellies and mouths still watering for more. Brisket was DEVOURED!! Sides of mac and cheese, hushpuppies, black bean salad completed a wonderful meal. Their catering service is impeccable, beautifully dressed table, on time and everything you could ask for a wedding caterer. Even accommodating a few last minute additions for our vegan/vegetarian guests! They were the perfect addition to our wedding day, 100% recommend for catering or just swinging by the food truck.

Disappointing customer service with food truck guy, liken it to being unpleasant no interest in describing food items with any passion, only pointing to menu with pen. The Brewery the truck parked at Sunday May 8th is over priced at 15 for two. And food taste and portions in mannered served was not inviting of any thought of return at 30 for two.

Back East bbq was so fun to work with. Communication was really easy, and when it came down to it, damn! The food was awesome! We received a lot of compliments on the food, and my cousin is wanting to hire them for her wedding. Their Brisket was wonderful, as were the hush puppies and mac and cheese. I used Danielle’s Back East BBQ catering for my wedding. They were amazing!! The food was better than our tasting. A number of people told us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The staff was so helpful, they went above and beyond even clearing tables at our venue. The price was the most affordable but you wouldn’t guess that by the food quality and service. I would highly recommend Danielle’s Back East BBQ catering for any event.

When we walked up, owner was complaining about people in Bellingham and how cheap they are. He never said hi, and his demeanor was something reminiscent of a charred rock. When we received the food, they skimped on the dressing for the salad and bbq sauce for the chicken. Speaking of the chicken, it was super dry. This was our second time trying the truck, and quite honestly we had a similar experience the first time, this we will not be giving them a third shot.

Just got an order of hush puppies and my friend had the brisket. While the brisket had a great flavor, it was served room temp. The hush puppies were cold, not made to order, and very bland. I'm very disappointed and will not buy from them again. One professional cook to another: hot food should be served HOT
